Bishop Shanahan won the “pink” game Tuesday over Kennett

Bishop Shanahan dedicated its jerseys and efforts today to United for HER, whose mission is to bridge the gap between the medical and wellness communities by funding and delivering complementary therapies that support the physical and emotional needs of those with breast cancer during treatment and beyond. Unite for HER educates women and the community about the role of healthy lifestyle choices in the prevention of disease and the promotion of wellness.

The Shanahan players wore pink shirts, socks and laces to honor those women in their lives that have been affected by breast cancer.

The Eagles improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Ches-Mont.

The game is part of a larger project by schools across Chester County that are working to plan special “pink” fundraising games and events that will raise breast cancer awareness and provide donations to Unite for HER.
