From Press Release
LEGACY Global Sports will host the Warrior National Prospect Invite, Brine National Lacrosse Classic, and the Brine National Lacrosse Academy from July 19-22 at the River City Sportsplex in Richmond, VA. During this first-time All-Star Week, all three flagship events will be staggered to highlight “best of the best” youth and high school players while affording maximum game time and optimal scouting opportunities.
Players earn the privilege of participating in the first two lacrosse tournaments through a rigorous selection process conducted by high school coaches across the country that is designed to place top-tier athletes in front of NCAA coaches from all divisions. Many of those coaches also “play it forward” by providing collegiate-level instruction to youth players attending the Brine National Lacrosse Academy, empowering the coaches to give back and develop up-and-coming talent in the formative years.
“There’s nothing in the lacrosse world like this,” said Joel Franklin, Director of Lacrosse Division for LEGACY Global Sports, “By integrating all three prestigious events within one All-Star Week, we offer something for players at virtually every age and stage.
At the Brine National Lacrosse Academy, youth players are further developed under the tutelage of leading NCAA coaches. The Warrior National Prospect Invite and the Brine National Lacrosse Classic enable college coaches to scout some of the most exceptional high school athletes in the country, offering them unprecedented recruiting convenience. It’s the best of lacrosse in one convenient location, allowing players to get the exposure they need and college coaches to maximize their recruiting efforts.

A benchmark for youth and high school lacrosse in the United States, the Brine National Lacrosse Classic now in it’s ninth year, is an annual showcase event featuring more than 1,000 premier players from across the country selected to participate based on skills and sportsmanship demonstrated in regional tryouts. As a gateway to the NCAA, thousands of Brine National Lacrosse Classic participants have gone on to play at the college level.
New this year, the Warrior National Prospect Invite will highlight 430 high-achieving, uncommitted lacrosse players from the 2018 and 2019 graduating classes selected based on athletic acumen, personal character and academic excellence through a comprehensive nominating and coach referral process.

The event is highly selective and promises to be a two-day focal point for NCAA lacrosse coaches.
In its sixth year under the direction of Ron Caputo, assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Duke University, Chelsea Rosiek, head women’s lacrosse coach at St. Bonaventure University and Eileen Ghent, head women’s lacrosse coach at Monmouth University, the three-day Brine National Lacrosse Academy offers an intensive daily curriculum presented by leading top NCAA lacrosse coaches focused on how a young lacrosse athlete should develop in order to compete at the top high school and collegiate level. The program includes individual and group position instruction, human performance, sport psychology and national game competition.
