Phillylacrosse Boys’ Rankings: Two Ches-Mont leaders, four Central League leaders to meet Tuesday

The Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Rankings:

1. Haverford School (13-4) Prev. No. 1: The Fords took a major step toward an Inter-Ac League title with their 16-12 win over Malvern Prep, completing a sweep of the Friars. 1.

2. Malvern Prep (12-4) Prev. No. 2: The Friars lost their chance to force a tie atop the Inter-Ac and must hope Haverford School gets beaten twice.girls-rankings1-300x165111-1

3. La Salle (11-2) Prev. No. 4: The Explorers won the first battle with St. Joseph’s Prep, 13-9, but expect the big one to come in a few weeks.

4. Avon Grove (10-1) Prev. No. 6: The Red Devils claimed a thrilling 6-5 win over Upper Dublin, but they have no time to celebrate with a Ches-Mont League showdown Tuesday at Bishop Shanahan.

5. Upper Dublin (12-1) Prev. No. 3: The Cardinals dropped a 6-5 decision to Avon Grove.

6. Spring-Ford (14-1) Prev. No. 5: The Rams have two more league games and then will go into the PAC-10 playoffs as the clear favorite.

7. Bishop Shanahan (11-0) Prev. No. 7: The Eagles host Avon Grove on Tuesday yet to be tested in the Ches-Mont League and play Tuesday at Downingtown West.

8. Salesianum School (10-2) Prev. No. 8: The Sals downed Easton, 15-8, on Saturday.

9. Strath Haven (12-2) Prev. No. 10: The Panthers play at Haverford High Tuesday in a battle of teams tied atop the Central League with Garnet Valley and Conestoga.

10. Garnet Valley (10-3) Prev No. 11:The Jaguars host Conestoga Tuesday in one of two games involving the four Central league co-leaders.

11. Haverford High (12-2) Prev. NR The Fords are tied for first in the Central League race and host co-leader Strath Haven on Tuesday.

12. Conestoga (9-4) Prev. No. 9:The Pioneers rebounded from consecutive losses to topple Ridley, 13-9, and they hae a chance to remain tied atop the Central League Tuesday when they travel to Garnet Valley.

13. Hun School (7-4) Prev. No. 13: The Raiders dropped three in a row to Malvern Prep, Bergen Catholic and Brunswick School (CT).

14. Lenape (NJ) 9-0 Prev. No. 14: The Indians meet St. Augustine Prep on Thursday.

15. St. Joseph’s Prep (9-4) Prev. No. 15: The Hawks fell to La Salle, 13-9, but they will look to get their revenge later this month.
