Summer 2016 Showcase camps

Boys Philly Showcase Camps 2017-18s & 2019-20s, by NXT’s Showcase Lacrosse, June 27-29 at Saint Joseph’s University. Division I coaches coach every team at the camp. Athletes go through college-style practices, workouts and film sessions. Campers, split into the two age divisions, experience a box lacrosse session. Last year, campers at both camps got to learn box lacrosse from Denver associate head coach Matt Brown, who helped the Pioneers win a national championship last spring. Next Level Video, NXTsports’ official video partner, films all games at both Showcase Camps in broadcast-quality high definition. Video packages are available for purchase. Blue Chip 225 Recruiting Showcase camps for 2016, directed by Ted Spencer, at UMass Amherst. Blue Chip 225’s goal is to provide showcase opportunities for all college bound players. It offers an Elite Divison for players who have potential to play at a top 20 school and a Varsity Division for those players whose goals include college lacrosse at the DII , DIII, club, and NJCAA. The Blue Chip staff is of all college coaches; they invite and encourage observing coaches and videocast both Varsity and Elite all star games nationwide. Blue Chip offers quality videography and recruiting software apps for coaches to track players during programs.

Lehigh Lacrosse Lehigh Valley Futures Showcase (boys in classes 2018s, 2019s & 2020s) on July 20-22 at Lehigh University.
The Lehigh Valley Showcase is designed to provide rising high school sophomores from the Lehigh Valley and across the country with advanced skill development in a highly competitive, tournament style, playing environment while being RECRUITED. The showcase will provide a platform for players to display their skills in front of college coaches from Divisions I, II, and III, on staff and visiting. Off the field, players will take part in strength and speed training clinic (results will be given to take home at the end of camp), recruiting & academic seminar, and a leadership & character-building seminar. The mission of the Lehigh Valley Showcase is to help prospective student athletes gain visibility within the recruiting landscape, while helping them grow as players and as people.
*Recommendations – Are welcomed and may be provided by high school, club or college coach.
*Interested Lehigh Prospects – This is a great opportunity to experience the Lehigh Lacrosse Student-Athlete life. You will board in dorms, use facilities, and dine in LU Dining Halls.
* Late Arrival – Individuals attending Hotbeds or another camp may arrive late but must contact laxcamps@lehigh.edu first!
*Film – All session of the Mini Camp will be filmed and available to participants for personal use following the event.

Summer Skills Camps

Lehigh Lacrosse Mountain Hawks Day Camp., boys Entering Grades 1 to 10, on June 20-23 at Lehigh University. Get instruction from the elite staff at Lehigh University, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm – Extended Day 3:15-4:15 pm
This camp was established to help lacrosse players of all ages and skill. The Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse Staff, current players, other coaches and college players will be at your disposal while they share their knowledge and enthusiasm for the game. We start from square one and focus on being fundamentally sound and technically correct. At the end of the week we will see just how far we have come in our Mountain Hawk Skills Competition, a series of events to test your weeks progress. We build each individual player from the ground up so that when you walk away from Goodman Campus have a strong foundation for success and are more confident.
Extended day participants will depart one hour later after focusing on positional skills and concepts in college drills. We will look to reinforce what the campers learn during day and go into greater depth.

Description: La Salle College Highschool Quickstick Combine is a specialty lacrosse camp designed to focus on stick work, shooting, speed and strength. Campers will experience specific drills and exercises to dramatically improve these key areas. This camp is for boys entering 5th through 8th grade and are considered to be intermediate to advanced players.

The Sting Lacrosse Camp for Boys going into grades 1 to 8 at Radnor High School from June 27-30. The camps runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day with lunch (pizza) included. Sting Lacrosse Camp welcomes boys that are entering grades 1-8. The campers will be divided into three age and ability groups, providing each player with the appropriate level of instruction. We welcome all beginners.
Lunch is Provided! Pizza will be provided for all campers. There will also be plenty of cold water available. If a camper prefers an alternative lunch they may bring their own.
Camp Highlights: Fastest shot contest, faceoff contest, groundball king, stick stringing clinic and the all popular 3v3 mini lacrosse tournament!
Sting Lacrosse Camp is designed for players of all ability levels, and will stress the fundamentals of lacrosse while introducing new strategies and skills. Each camper will learn from the top players and coaches in the region. The morning sessions will concentrate on stick-work skills, drills, and lead-up games including 1 on 1 play. In the afternoon, strategy will be emphasized covering areas such as fast breaks, slow breaks, defenses and faceoffs. Late afternoon will focus on full field play. Each player will receive a reversible tank top and various prizes will be awarded at the end of each camp day.

The goal of the HEADstrong Lacrosse is to develop a complete student athlete who is competitive on the field and in the classroom. Upper River Lacrosse development camps, on the Main Line outside of Philadelphia, July 5-10 and 11-17. This summer camp is divided into two parts, with the first week focusing on skills and the second week bringing all the campers together to form a team that will compete in a tournament at the end of the week. Campers are welcome both locally and from across the nation. Position experts from major universities and professional teams will be at camp throughout the week, ensuring that campers get specialized attention.
In addition to sharpening skills for the high school season, Upper River is set up to help players decide how they want to advance their game. Campers will get exposure to a number of college coaches with connections that will be beneficial throughout the college recruiting process. There will also be a live presentation on recruiting for athletes and their families.
Housing is provided at Villanova University for one or both weeks of camp.. AILA Integrated Summer Field and Box Lacrosse Academy, July 18-21, at Bryn Athyn College. Joining AILA President and Coach Johnny Mouradian and the AILA Staff this summer is All-World (Team USA) and All-Pro (Florida Launch) Defender and Bryn Athyn College Head Coach, Tucker Durkin. Along side of him is La Salle College HS/Penn State Alum and current Academy of the New Church Head Coach, Rob Forster.
The ALIA’s Integrated Summer Academy will take place in mid July with day, extended day and overnight opportunities that feature AILA’s In|Crosse System, developed by Mouradian. Players will have participate in drills and live scrimmages in both the box and field while honing their lacrosse skills, techniques and literacy.
In|Crosse education and training, AILA’s proprietary system, leverages the integration and convergence of the indoor version of lacrosse with the field game. The cutting edge program teaches bio-mechanics, principles, strategies and tactics of indoor lacrosse taking advantage of the several features like small goals (4’x 4’9), 30 second shot clock, five on five lacrosse, players learn to play offense and defense, to name a few. Integrated programs contribute to the building blocks of lacrosse literacy, developing well rounded field players by taking advantage of the many features of indoor lacrosse and transferring the benefits to their field game.

Spend three days in the dorms of the Hun School while playing lacrosse all day!
