What will you major in/study? Finance
Why did you choose this school? “I was very impressed with Coach (Jeff) Tambroni and the coaching staff and their vision for where the team is headed. He is a strong leader with a clear vision of the character and culture for the future of the PSU program. Everything about the university, including Smeal College of Business, was perfect for what I want to achieve in life and my family has a strong alumni heritage.”
Outlook for 2017 HS season? “Although we graduated a lot of strong seniors, we have great young talent and senior leaders for this coming year. I think it will be a breakthrough season for us. I’m excited to make a contribution to our team’s success. I am dedicating my season to Gage, my 11 year old friend in N.H. who reminds me of the courage it takes to never never give up the fight against cancer.”
People to thank: “There are so many people who helped me get to this point. First, I’d like to thank The Episcopal Academy Community and coaching staff — Mr. Hayes, Mr. Bodnar, and Mr. Smith and Mr. Arra. I’d also like to thank my NXT LC coaches — Mr. Manney, Mr. Castle, Mr. Mayberry, Mr. Futrovsky as well was all my NXT 2019 teammates. Thank you to Coach Podgajny for making sure I can play midfield first then face off second. Thanks to all the members of the Philly Face Off League for pushing me out of my comfort zone; Sunday nights at the PFL are wild. Thank you also to Greg Gurenlian and the FOA for your willingness to improve my technique and availability for constant feedback.
“My sincere appreciation goes out to my friend and mentor, Mr. John Bodnar, who has helped me grow as a player and person with his unwavering belief in me. In the Philadelphia community he is held in the highest esteem by the players he impacts week in and week out. My parents are my biggest fans, who continue to support me and never miss a game — thanks, Mom and Dad. And finally thank you to my sister, and fellow NXTer Fiona who has made many sacrifices of her time for me.”
