Registration remains open for the The Match™ – a high-value, half-day recruiting showcase that made its successful debut in 2013 focusing on elite players targeting Division III colleges. Since then, close to 400 players from 8 states and at least 50 Division III colleges have participated and/or attended The Match™ to rave reviews (see Testimonials).
The event will take place from 12-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 30th at MSI Sports Village in Aston, PA. The showcase is staged on three adjacent turf fields, providing for an intimate, convenient and efficient setting for coaches. The 7v7 “Matches” are particularly unique from a player assessment standpoint; no other showcase provides players with so many touches and such a meaningful chance to shine. And no other showcase is as tailored to the desire of coaches who are hoping for a fruitful afternoon from a recruiting standpoint.
The Match™ is for players (2017, 2018 and 2019 graduation years) who are strong Division III candidates – athletically and academically. All players must be nominated and rated by high school /club coaches; selection is competitive by position, space is limited. Either players or coaches can initiate the process.

MISSION/PHILOSOPHY: Our message to players/parents is to “FOCUS ON THE FIT, NOT THE FRENZY.” Players/parents should be realistic and strategic in choosing the right college path – one that will result in great academics and an enjoyable/memorable lacrosse experience. Good coaches provide sound mentoring is this regard.
FORMAT/HIGHLIGHTS: Players will have a chance to showcase their talents in clinics/drills and both 7v7 short-sided and full field “Matches.” Players/parents/coaches LOVE the novel format, which affords players more action in an hour than they get in a full day at traditional “showcases.” The afternoon promises to be productive for players and coaches in attendance. Highly credentialed clinicians will also conduct clinic sessions and presentations of interest, including the DIII value proposition/recruiting process (parents are invited to attend and participate in that discussion).
COLLEGE COACHES IN ATTENDANCE: Schools that indicate their plans to attend will be listed on the event website with links to their program’s website to facilitate research and communications from interested players. We expect an array of coaches/schools to be in attendance at The Match™ in 2016 based on sign-ups and expressions of interest to date.
We also expect to feature a select contingent of Division III prospects from the Mid-Atlantic and other regions eager to “Light it Up” for our coaching audience! Are you one of those prospects? Do you know of prospects that might benefit from this exposure? Let us know!!
This is a very popular, well organized event – one that has resulted in numerous successful outcomes!! We look forward to seeing more matches, so make sure you’re in the mix at The Match™!!
