Springside Chestnut Hill Academy 2017 faceoff/midfielder Gabe Smithline has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College.

Why did you choose this school? “I felt Lafayette provided the perfect blend between academics and athletics. Coach (Jim) Rogalski is building a very strong program, and I’m very excited to be a part of it.”
HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “I think we are going to surprise a lot of people this season. We had no seniors last year, but this year we are a senior- and junior=laden team with lots of experience. It should be a very exciting season.”
People to thank: “I would first and foremost like to thank my parents and my two brothers. They have always supported me and pushed me to be the best I can be. I would also like to thank my high school coach, Mike Delgrande for all his help in recruiting and for pushing me everyday to be a better player. I would also like to thank my club coach, Ken Miller, for great summers of lacrosse and all his help with recruiting. Lastly, I would like to thank John Bodnar and Mike Dolente from Philly Face off for all their help developing me as a player.”
