Central York 2017 attackman/midfielder TJ Ross has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
TJ Ross profile:
High School: Central York High School
Graduation Year: 2017
Position: Attack/Midfield
College Committed to: New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT)
Club Affiliation: HEADstrong
Why did you choose this school? “Ever since I was young I’ve dreamed about playing lacrosse at the Division 1 level. I chose NJIT because when I went on my visit I knew it was a great fit for me academically and athletically. NJIT is right next to the greatest city in the world so there are a lot of opportunities off the lacrosse field. Also most of my family lives in the New York/New Jersey area so it will feel like home!”
HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “We’re very young but have a lot of talent; we should compete to win another league championship.”
People to thank: “First and foremost, I would like to thank my parents for helping me along the way and being nothing but supportive throughout the process. I would also like to thank my HS coaches Tom Mayne, Jim Gilhool, and Chris Markey for helping me push myself during practice to make my teammates and I better players and men. Lastly, I would like to thank my HEADstrong coaches for guiding me through the process.”
Other schools considered: NJIT, Robert Morris, Canisius, Ursinus, SJU, Cleveland State, and Mount St Mary’s
