Holy Ghost Prep assistant coach

V/JV Assistant Lacrosse Coach
*Reports to the athletic director
*High level playing experience preferred
*3-5 years coaching experience preferred
*Will be available for practices and games during the afternoon/evenings from the beginning of March until the end of the season (between mid-May and mid-June)

Lafayette College is looking to hire a volunteer assistant coach. A background in face-offs or goaltending is preferred but not required. Camp income is available.

Great Valley assistants

Ridley High Varsity Head Coach

Ridley High seeks a head varsity coach. The candidate should have coaching experience, a bachelor’s degree and a PA Instructional Certificate is preferred.

Candidates should be strong in skill development, running a regular program of practices, facilitating criteria for eligibility and enforcing discipline at all times.

Accelerated Student Athletes (ASA) Lacrosse

Accelerated Student Athletes (ASA) Lacrosse are looking for two coaches (offense and defense) to coach the 5/6th & 7/8th Winter Lax teams. Candidates must show enthusiasm and have a competitive approach to lacrosse related activities. Candidates have to be present at all practices and can flip flop Sunday league games or travel tournaments. This is a paid opportunity and a ongoing evaluation to be considered to coach both teams in the Spring. The Spring season is also paid opportunity.

Haddon Twp. (NJ) head coach

Haddon Twp HS is seeking a Varsity Head Coach to lead our program (entering our 3rd year) in an outstanding HS & community in Southern NJ. Although a relatively new sport to our community, HT Lax supports Boys and Girls HS Varsity and JV programs as well as full Boys and Girls youth programs competing in the SJYLL(U9-U15).

Coaches will have the financial and administrative support needed to reach their goals. A strong foundation has been set by our previous head coach. We return 30 players with experience and a passion for lacrosse. HT Lax is seeking a candidate that will lead our program to the next level. Head coach will lead a staff that includes 2 paid asst coaches at the HS level.

Seeking Boys’ Varsity Head Coach with the following qualities:
• Process orientation, strong character, integrity, passion for lacrosse, the heart of a teacher, positive/optimistic nature, great communicator
• Playing experience at the high school and college level
• Prior coaching experience preferred at the high school level as an asst or head coach for JV or varsity or competitive club level
• Ability to work cohesively with the HTHS AD, HTHS Girls Coach and HT Lax Club Board
• Planning & implementing off season player development, strength and conditioning

Archbishop Wood assistant coaches

Archbishop Wood High School (Warminster, PA) is looking for Varsity assistant and JV Head & Assistant coaches.

These are coaching-only positions with some other responsibilities. We participate in fall and winter activities as well. Coaching staff will have the opportunity to attend local/national coaching conventions. JV Head & Assistant coaches will participate in some Varsity activities, but main concern is for the JV program.

Previous lacrosse coaching experience desired for JV Head coach. Previous playing experience desired for Assistant positions. Face-off or goalie experience a plus.

Archbishop Ryan seeks a full-time, experienced, dynamic Varsity Boys Lacrosse Head Coach to start in the Fall of 2016. Qualified applicants will meet the following criteria:
Requirements:
• Supervise the instruction in the sport of Boys Lacrosse for both Varsity & JV
• Organize and run all Boys Lacrosse Varsity team practices.
• Game Management for all Varsity Boys Lacrosse team games.
• Assist in attracting quality Student-Athletes to Archbishop Ryan.
• Assist in attracting and supervising quality assistant coaches for the Boys Lacrosse program.
• Attend all League Meetings of the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coaches.
• Meet with the Director of Athletics on a frequent basis to review the status of the program.

Quakertown High School Varsity Boys Head Coach

QCSD boys’ varsity lacrosse team is seeking a head coach who will strive to build a highly competitive and challenging program for the student-athlete. This is not a teaching position. Spring 2017 will be our 3rd year as a team. Candidates should have coaching experience and preferably playing experience at the high school and/or college level or beyond. We typically have about 25 players, and are hoping to add a JV squad in the near future. We will be in the Suburban One, Continental Conference. Coaching candidates should be prepared to:

• Complete required testing and background checks
• Prepare preseason training and practice plans
• Instruct fundamental skills and concepts throughout the season
• Be able to specialize by position or skill as required

Candidates must be willing and able to communicate with players, administration, booster club, and parents as necessary to keep information flowing. The head coach should be willing to assist in seeking an assistant coach. Coaches will report to the booster club the first year, while indirectly working with the athletic director.

Pre-season practices begin indoors two to three days a week in early January until early March in the evenings, then move outside to the turf field in early March. Practices then continue evenings from 6 to 8 pm Monday thru Thursday, with games generally starting between 3:30 and 5:00pm (with an occasional evening game) throughout the season. There is a possibility to hold outdoor practices after school if preferred.

Quakertown High School has a fabulous turf stadium field, which has lights for evening games if necessary. Salary: TBD based on experience. Part-Time position for approximately 6 months. Available: Now for Spring 2017. Deadline: October 1, 2016.

Phoenixville head coach

Phoenixville Area High School is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and committed visionary to help build our Boys Lacrosse program. The successful candidate will want to work with talented students, a dedicated administration and a community that is ready to embrace boys lacrosse.

Phoenixville is a member of the Pioneer Athletic Conference and PIAA District One. Successful candidates will have a strong background in coaching and demonstrated success in coaching or playing at the collegiate or high school level, and/or in a club setting.

Young Quakers Community Athletics Boys Lacrosse Coach

Young Quakers Community Athletics (YQCA) is a partnership between the Barbara and Edward Netter Center for Community Partnerships and the Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate
Athletics. Directed through Netter’s University-Assisted Community Schools program (UACS), YQCA creates mutually beneficial partnerships between select Penn intercollegiate athletic teams
and West Philadelphia public schools. Founded in 2012 with boys’ lacrosse at Comegys Community School, YQCA has grown quickly to include girls’ lacrosse at Comegys and co-ed track at Huey
Community School and Lea Community School with the potential for reaching even more students through additional sports in the future.

Penn’s varsity athletes engage with West Philadelphia K-8 students, mentoring the children on the field and off. In addition to the mentoring, YQCA provides staff, coaches, uniforms, sports
equipment, bus transportation, and access to the University’s world-class playing fields at no cost to the schools or their students. Program participants also benefit from the Netter Center’s comprehensive UACS programming, which brings additional academic, human, and material resources from Penn to their schools during the school day, after school, and in the summer.

The YQCA Head Coach will be responsible for practice planning and facilitating sessions with Big Quakers (Penn athletes) and UACS students (K-8 students). Sessions will focus on Big Quaker
engagement and integrating life skill development into practice sessions. The YQ Head Coach will be responsible for regular communication to the Big Quakers about practice plans and expectations.

The head coach will be jointly hired by YQCA Senior staff and Penn Division coaches.
Requirements
High school degree required, College degree preferred 2-5 years experience in sports based youth development or related field (ie teaching); prefer experience working with at risk urban youth
Extensive knowledge of lacrosse required; Playing and/or coaching collegiate level preferred Complete all Federal and state background checks/clearances
Responsibilities
Attendance at all YQCA coach trainings, practices and competition Practice planning/facilitation oCreate detailed practice plans including debrief/feedback after sessions with focus on
linking life skills to sports skills to facilitate sports skills and leadership/team building lessons with elementary and college student-athletes
Communicate practice plans to YQCA senior staff and Penn athletes by assigned deadlines
Complete game scheduling with support from YQCA senior staff if needed
Coordinate special events including food/beverages, opening/closing ceremonies
Estimated Schedule: September-June, 6-10 hours per week including practice facilitation and planning, Sessions are Wednesday + Friday from approximately 3:30-6:00 pm, After-school hours; Occasional weekend commitments. Additional training, professional development sessions will be scheduled Compensation: $20-$25 per hour depending on experience

Perkiomen Valley assistants

The Perkiomen Valley High School Boys Lacrosse Program based in Collegeville PA, and a member of District 1 as well as the Pac-10, is seeking to hire a Varsity Assistant Coach and a Head JV Coach for next season. Prior coaching and/or collegiate playing experience is required for these positions. We have a strong feeder program, great parents, a strong booster club, and a supportive administration. These are coaching-only PAID positions. Additional off-season coaching opportunities will be available for further compensation.

Wilson (West Lawn) Boys Lacrosse Head Coach

Wilson (West Lawn) School District is looking for an experienced, passionate, and energetic Head Coach for its boys lacrosse team. Wilson is a member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, District 3, and Berks County Interscholastic Athletic Association. We are located in suburban Reading, have an enrollment of approximately 1,800 students in grades 9-12, possess excellent facilities (two turf fields), and are well-supported by our booster organization. Our boys team has won five straight league titles, the most recent District 3 title, and has numerous alumni playing college lacrosse. Wilson also runs a successful youth feeder program for grades K-8, creating an outstanding foundation for a Varsity Coach.

Desirable candidates will have a minimum of high school and/or club coaching experience. College playing experience is preferred. Those applying for the position should possess a strong lacrosse background with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a high level program, be able to provide evidence of effective leadership of a scholastic team, have the ability to articulate a vision for building/enhancing a scholastic program, possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, and be able to obtain the necessary clearances required by the school district.
