Patrick Keegan
High School: West Chester Henderson
Graduation Year: 2018
Position: Midfield/Attack
College Committed to: Bellarmine University
Club affiliation: Team Man Up
Lacrosse Honors: “After suffering a severe football injury my sophomore year I was able to fight through it, worked hard through rehab, and was able to get back on the field and receive Most Improved Player for the lacrosse team.”
Academic Honors: Honor Roll, National Business Honor Society, DECA State Qualifier
What will you major in/study? “I will major in Finance, with intentions of getting my MBA in the five year program at Bellarmine.”
Why did you choose the school? “I chose Bellarmine because from the minute I stepped on campus, I felt comfortable. The coaches and players were all great to me, and the other recruits in my class were very welcoming and friendly as well. I loved the facilities and the stadium was spectacular. I also really liked how close the team was, and the bond they shared with each other. The city of Louisville was amazing and the food was outstanding.”
HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “This year at Henderson we have some very high expectations, as we fell to CB West in the district playoffs last year. We are returning a large amount of talented players in the 2017 and 2018 classes, in which majority started or played on Varsity last year. We look forward to what should be a memorable season.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank, first and foremost, my family, especially my parents Michael and Margaret Keegan because without all of their love and support throughout my athletic career I don’t know where I would be. Also, my younger brother, Quinn Keegan, has helped push me to get to the next level, and now I hope he can push himself to do the same. Next, I would like to thank Jim Schorn and the rest of Team Man Up, because without him I would not be where I am today, as he developed me into a much better lacrosse player and athlete. I would also like to that all of my other coaches that I have had throughout my career, especially my St. Agnes football coaches. It was from that outstanding group of men that not only helped me grow on the field, but taught me how to be a great person off the field and I will be forever grateful for that. Last but not least, I would like to thank God, because without him none of this would have been possible, and he helped me overcome injuries, fears, and all other adversity I have faced to get where I am today.”
Other schools considered: Mount St. Mary’s, Lynchburg, Salisbury, and Monmouth
