Why did you choose Kutztown? “Visiting Kutztown for the first time, as a recruit, I knew I’d be going there. I fell in love with the community and the campus, and I felt at home with the wonderful team and coaches. While I’ll be sad to retire the red and white jerseys, I can’t wait to be a Golden Bear!”
HS team’s outlook for 2017 season? “My team is looking great for this season. We have seniors who are ready to step up, great new freshman players, and our coach has some tricks up his sleeve to get us further into districts and hopefully into a state title. Once Wilson steps on the field this season, I believe we’ll be a force to be reckoned with.”
Thank You: “First and foremost, I would like to thank my parents: My dad, Bruce, for always being proud of even my worst games and giving me the positive attitude that allows me to be proud of those games, too: and my mom, Kelli, for teaching me to always “be awesome” – that means being an awesome teammate, student, and person.
“I’d like to thank my high school coach, John Spleen, for helping me understand the importance of a goalie to a lacrosse team. You gave me the confidence to help lead our team that I didn’t have before. And also, thank you for your crazy yet genius defense that has saved my butt more times than I can count!
“Also thank you to my high school goalie coach, Pat Howard, for putting up with my shenanigans! But also, for helping me grow and come out of my shell. Without you helping me back in net and always giving me encouragement, I’d still be as silent as mouse.
“I would like to give thanks my goalie coaches that I worked with at different points in my lacrosse career – Mel, Jenn, and Xeni. You saw something in me that made you believe I could be something great and pushed me towards this goal. You’ve helped shape me into the goalie I am today and cannot thank you enough for believing in me.
“Finally, I’d like to thank anyone who has supported me through my lax life. While I cannot list you all individually, no matter how much I want to, I’d like for you to know that you played an important part in who I am as a player and a person. I am so grateful for the opportunities, lessons, and encouragement I’ve been given and I hope to continue to make you proud in the next step of my lacrosse career!”
