Brine NLC Tryouts

Brine National Lacrosse Classic regional tryouts for Pennsylvania girls on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 at Germantown Academy in Ft. Washington. Regional tryouts in Pennsylvania offer players the highest level of competition and exposure to the college admissions and athletic recruitment process while enabling student athletes to test and benchmark their lacrosse skills and athletic ability against the top players.

Clinics

Spring Training Academy by Philly Blast Lacrosse, at Episcopal Academy, open to any all girls’ lacrosse players K-8, March 27-May 2, is a 6-week intensive program that follows an advanced curriculum designed to improve and strengthen female lacrosse players. Players will have the opportunity to hone on all areas of their game: stickwork, speed, footwork, offensive concepts, midfield transition, defensive concepts, drawing/circle play, and communication. In addition to focusing on individual skills, training sessions will also include small-sided games & scrimmages in order to help players transfer and execute what they have practiced into competitive play. The Goalie portion of the Spring Training program is geared towards intense and advanced instruction to enhance the goaltending tools necessary for optimal performance. Goalies will have the opportunity to perfect their technique and work on every facet of their game, including stopping, clearing, bounce shots, agility, and warming up. Each session, players will receive individual coaching and see a variety of shots before entering small-sided game play.

ULTIMATE JUMP training series by Ultimate Lacrosse, forr all 2017 an 2018 girls. ULTIMATE JUMP is open to any 2017 Committed and Uncommitted player who wants to pursue the next level of lacrosse, as well as any 2018 Committed or Uncommitted player who wants to add to their normal club season. ULTIMATE JUMP has been designed to specifically maximize each player’s individual growth as an athlete so that the transition to college is seamless. Our program will JUMP start your college career by providing an intense lacrosse development from top to bottom to make you the complete player. We will integrate speed, agility, strength & conditioning training that is specific to the needs of each athlete.

Navy Women’s Lacrosse Clinics and Play Days. Navy Clinics and Play Days are designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game as well as team concepts in a fun, educational and confidence building environment. Campers will learn sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork while being challenged in drill and scrimmage settings. All camps are held on the beautiful campus of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, and taught by Navy’s elite staff.

Navy Women’s Lacrosse is hosting their FIRST ANNUAL NAVY PLAY DAY. This is a fun and competitive event that will get your team ready for the summer recruiting season. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games. In addition, clinics will be available throughout the day for all participants. All clinics are optional and are included in the price of registration. COST PER TEAM – $1250; DON’T HAVE A TEAM? NO PROBLEM! INDIVIDUALS CAN REGISTER AND BE PLACED ON A HOUSE TEAM. COST PER INDIVIDUAL – $100
NAVY ELITE GOLD CLINIC JUNE 14, 2017 (2017-2022)
Designed for the Advanced Lacrosse Player. This clinic is ideal for the high-performing, elite player who aspires to compete at the collegiate level. It is also an opportunity for players who have committed to play in college to continue to play at the highest level. Sessions include drills with an emphasis on mastery of individual skills as well as creativity in stickwork & shooting. Players will focus on perfecting offensive strategies and high pressure defensive schemes. Game-like situations and drills will be used to put these techniques into practice. NAVY LACROSSE GOALIE SCHOOL will be run by Meg Huether Nicotra, former US National Team Player. Goalies will receive individual & small group instruction as well as live play in small-sided scrimmages and full-field competitions. ​TIME: 8am-8pm. NAVY OPEN BLUE CLINIC JULY 6, 2017 (AGES 8-18)
The Open Blue Clinic is geared towards players of ALL ABILITY LEVELS from the Experienced Lacrosse Athlete to the Aspiring Beginner. This clinic will be divided into 3 Divisions:
PREMIER DIVISION – Designed for the highly seasoned player who may not have been able to attend our Elite Gold Clinic. This is ideal for players who aspire to play at the collegiate level. They will have the opportunity to receive high-level coaching from Navy Coaches along with other select Division I College Coaches and Players. The focus will be on taking your game to the next level with strategies for shooting, offensive motion and defensive schemes. Game-like situations will be the emphasis of this division.
Open to players in grades 7-12. 8am-8pm. $295
INTERMEDIATE DIVISION – Designed for the developing player. There will be an emphasis on building current skill sets while focusing on mastery of stick skills, shooting, offensive and defensive strategies. Sessions will center on building team concepts in small sided drills as well as full field play. Players will be coached by select College Coaches and Players.
​Open to players in grades 6-9. 8am-4pm. $200
NOVICE DIVISION – Specifically designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game for beginners: throwing, catching, shooting, ground balls, offensive & defensive skills, and confidence level improvement in a fun and educational atmosphere.
Open to players ages 8-13. 8am-12pm. $150

Youth Clinics

1st Start Lacrosse is moving indoors for the winter to three different locations. 1st Start Lacrosse is a program where the basics to the game are broken down and taught in a fun and exciting environment. It’s for children aged 3-to-7 and it will be coached by all former players now educators in the Philly area who have an extreme passion for the game.
1st Start is a 6 week program on Sundays starting January 15 where each session will be 60 minutes long. Lacrosse sticks (plastic) will be provided at every session along with a 1st Start STARTer pack, where each child will receive a 1st Start T-Shirt, Sweatband, and Sticker!

Cradle Lacrosse, for children ages 4-8, is excited to announce eight locations in Philadelphia and Delaware this spring! Cradle’s slate kicks off with its spring locations April 1 and concludes May 14 with sites at Cardinal O’Hara High School, Friends Select School, Hockessin Montessori School, Germantown Academy, Malvern Prep, Middletown Community Park, Radnor Memorial Park and Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
Cradle’s spring programs are offered on either Saturdays or Sundays for six weeks, with each action-packed session lasting one hour. Cradle features a six week curriculum specifically designed to introduce players to the key fundamental skills in a fun and energizing environment. Each session, players are introduced to a new skill, given ample opportunities for success during station work and encouraged to demonstrate new skills in fun games.
The Cradle coaching staff features former Division I, II, III players, current teachers, as well as local club, high school and college coaches. At NXT, we have professional and passionate coaches who are excited about sharing Cradle’s cutting-edge curriculum. All Cradle coaches are trained prior to the season to ensure that safety standards and developmental goals are achieved. NXT’s introductory lacrosse program features a co-ed coaching staff, all of whom are PA ACT 153 certified and background checked. Many of the Cradle coaches are also active with NXT’s Play Fast fundamental clinics and the NXT Lacrosse Club teams.

Spring league

Maplezone Sports Institute Girls Atlantic Club Lacrosse League for Middle School and Youth teams. Maplezone Sports Institute (MSI), powered by Heritage Lacrosse, is pleased to announce the launch of the Atlantic Club Lacrosse League, a youth girls spring league for 2017 that will feature competitive travel club teams with players in the graduating classes of 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Doubleheaders will be scheduled for each team on alternating Sundays. Games are 12-minute running quarters with a minute-long break in between quarters and a five-minute halftime.
Teams play eight regular season games before playoff Sunday that determines the league champion by graduating class. The dates are March 26; April 9 and 30 and May 14 and 21. All games are played on all turf fields at the MSI Sports Village located in Aston, PA. Schedules, results and standings will all be available real time.
The league uses modified Federation rules with minor tweaks. There is limited contact with an emphasis on player safety, especially when it comes to head contact and unsportsmanlike play.
League Overview: (8 games / team + playoffs); Each team plays 8 games, plus playoffs; Play 2 games/day, every other Sunday; Minimizes conflicts, maximizes value of each game day; Games comprised of four 12-minute quarters; Game Days – March 26, April 9, April 30, May 14 (Playoffs on May 21)

The Summer Rise, run by Victory Events, began in 2014 and is an inexpensive summer kick-off event to drop the rust and get back into the swing of summer lacrosse. Drawing teams from around the Philly region and beyond, this event is priced competitively to offer local girls clubs a fun and local kick-off to the summer.
Championship Format; Pool Play with top teams advancing to single elimination Championship

The Grind

The Grind is one of the largest, most competitive girls lacrosse events in the nation! Teams from across the country are registered and traveling to the event.

1st Annual East Coast Lacrosse Championship, by Gait Heritage and All-American Lacrosse, at the brand new all-turf complex in Frederica, DE on July 8-9. This new venue is ideally located less than 2 hours from major lacrosse hotbeds including MD, NOVA, PA, and NJ, and just 30 minutes from beautiful DE beaches. The ECLC will feature top girls’ clubs from these regions and beyond competing in a championship format tournament (all teams will be guaranteed 5 games – 3 games of pool play on Saturday, and 2 playoff games on Sunday).

The 5th annual Hershey Lacrosse Shootout for boys’ and girls’ teams on July 15th & 16th at In the Net Sports Complex in Palmyra, PA. This tournament, run by My Lacrosse Tournaments, has become a fast favorite on our summer circuit of events. Teams from all over the northeast travel to participant in an action packed weekend. With over 65 teams expected to attend in 2017, this event provides high quality lacrosse and family fun just miles from Hersheypark, one of the top rated amusement parks in the country.
All games in this 2-day championship tourney event will take place at In the Net Sports complex (798 Airport Rd
Palmyra, PA 17078). Each team has four games guaranteed and all teams qualify for the playoffs.
