Captains’ Outlook:
Erin O’Donnell:
“Our team is coming off of an extremely successful season and we can’t wait to get started this year. We are returning a majority of our starting lineup and are bringing in some really talented underclassmen to fill the gaps. Our team has even higher goals this year, but we can’t live off of last year’s success. As long as we stay focused and keep working hard, I feel we have the ability to go even deeper into the playoffs than we did last season. There is a very diverse group of players on the team who each bring their own strengths to the field. I believe that this group of girls could help make history once more for Bishop Shanahan!”
Alyssa Manley:
“Shanahan’s chemistry is like no team I’ve ever seen. We have talent in every area of the field and have lots of potential in both the upper and underclassmen! Our overall goal this year is to first win chesmonts and ultimately return to the state playoffs. With all of our hard work and mental toughness, we will be a competitive team looking to win.”
Kenzie Staska:
“Shanahan Girls’ Lacrosse went down in history last year. The coaches (Laura Capuano, Theresa Guinta, Tori Dugan, and Gwen Hicks) led our team to States last year! One thing about our team that is very obvious in helping us get to where we did last year was our team chemistry. Both the upperclassman and underclassmen are extremely talented, all bringing different strengths to contribute to our team. Us captains are extremely excited to play our last season representing Shanahan and believe our team has the potential to go even farther than last year’s history-makes ing!”
Anna Seifert:
“Our team is extremely excited to for this upcoming season. We have so much talent from our senior class all the way down to our freshman class. A key aspect to our team is our chemistry and our hard working attitudes that keep getting stronger and stronger! Everyone is hungry for the Chesmont title and we are determined to be champs. With an amazing coaching staff we know that our goals are in reach! The shanahan girls lacrosse program has improved each year and we are striving to continue this trend!”
