Harriton 2017 attackman Hakan Atillasoy has been named the Pansini Law Group Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Extracurricular Activities: Stock club, Speak Up, Ronald McDonald club, HHSTV Announcer, “Herd” School Spirit Group Leader.
Service Activities: Volunteering with Ashbee, our youth feeder program, for the past four years.
Academic honors/awards: National Honors Society, Honor Roll, 4.4 GPA (weighted); Gateway (Merit) Scholarship Recipient from Ursinus College
Athletic honors: 2017 Team captain, 4 year Varsity Starter, Offensive MVP Harriton 2015 and 2016, Ty Xanders Players Who Impressed Battle of Baltimore 2017, Hot Beds Lacrosse Tournament All-Star, All-Central League selection 2015 and 2016, All-Main Line selection 2015 and 2016, Voted to wear #1 Jersey for Harriton (Award goes to the Team First Player), over 100 career goals

What are your college and future goals?
Atillasoy: “I am excited to continue my lacrosse career at Ursinus College next year. My goal is to receive a quality education, while competing for both a Centennial Conference and national championship. I am currently planning on majoring in history, but recent entrepreneurship classes have sparked my interest in pursuing business as a possible career path.”
How do you describe leadership?
Atillasoy: “Leadership can have a variety of meanings. I feel that leadership is setting a positive example that your peers can follow. As a leader on the team I have to make sure my teammates trust me and know that we share common goals. Additionally, leadership requires developing a relationship with each of your teammates where you find ways to motivate and inspire them.”
How do you balance lacrosse, school, and extracurriculars?
Atillasoy: “I feel that having a busy schedule, especially during the spring, has taught me valuable skills in time management. Since most of my afternoons are spent on the lacrosse field, I have learned to work efficiently during the school day and at night.”
