Lila Barker collected four goals, two caused turnovers and a groundball and Alex Hark had three goals, three assists and three draw controls as host Agnes Irwin dealt No. 1 Archbishop Carroll its first loss of the year Monday, 12-8, in a non-league game.
Agnes Irwin (ranked No. 5) led, 8-4, at halftime and was never threatened as Carroll fell to 17-1 in its regular-season finale. Agnes Irwin is 16-5.
“With all the injuries we have, I’m proud of the girls for controlling the tempo of the game and earning a solid team win today,” said AI coach Jen Duckenfield. “Maria Pansini and Emma Macaione had solid defensive games limiting Carroll’s movement on the offensive end.”
