What are your college and future goals?
Gundy:
“I am committed to the admissions process at Cornell University. My college and future goals right now include studying broadcast journalism/communications in college and contributing to playing lacrosse at Cornell University. The ability to pursue my academic interest as well as play the sport I love at a very competitive program is my dream.”

How do you describe leadership?
Gundy:
“I would describe a leader as someone who goes above and beyond, puts the team ahead of themselves and demonstrates excellence. I also think that it is very important for a leader to lead by example because that sets the bar high, which ultimately helps the team stratech themselves to be better and achieve more. As lacrosse team captain, I have experienced how the leader’s actions can dictate how the rest of the team will perform or behave. I have learned that the team always comes first and that when the team has challenges, my leadership helps the team to work through them and resolve the issues.”

How do you balance lacrosse, school, and extracurriculars?
Gundy:
“I balance lacrosse, school and extracurriculars by organizing my daily schedule at school, taking advantage of my free time during the school day, and using my resources. I balance multiple activities by staying disciplined, but also realizing the importance of having social outlets. I leverage my friends and my family to provide these social outlets, so that I do not overwhelm myself.”
