Great Valley 2018 defender Maggie Flynn has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Duquesne University.
Maggie Flynn profile:

Maggie Flynn
High school: Great Valley
Grad year: 2018
Position: Defense
College committed to: Duquesne University
Club team: PA Fury
Lacrosse honors: 2016 1st Team All League Ches-Mont, 2016 Under Armor Uncommitted Team, 2015 Midwest Cup Champions
Expected major: Athletic Training or Physical Therapy
Why did you choose Duquesne? “The location of the school was amazing and it had what I am interested in studying. Pittsburgh is a great city and I’m glad I get to be right in it. The fact that it is a catholic school contributed to my decision.”
Outlook for rest of the year: “We lost multiple key seniors going into this season so we had many young players coming up. So far everyone has stepped up and we have been playing well. We hope to continue to grow as a team and make a playoff run at the end.”
Thank Yous: “I would like to thank my coaches, specifically Kim Wenger and Sherri Kratzer. They both helped me to grow as a player and have also had faith in my abilities on and off the field. I would also like to thank my parents who have always supported me throughout my many lacrosse seasons. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without these people behind me.”
