Pope John Paul II 2018 goalie Noah Balliet has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at King’s College.

Noah Balliet profile:

High school: Pope John Paul II, Royersford Pa

Grad year: 2018

Position: Goalie

College committed to: King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA

Lacrosse honors: 2016 PJPII Coaches Award; 2016 Netnation Elite 14 Invitee; 2017 PJPII Team MVP; 2017 All Area Honorable Mention; 2017 Pioneer Athletic Conference 2nd Team

Academic honors: 2016 President’s Academic Achievement Award

Expected major: Business

Why did you choose King’s? “I fell in love with the small close knit campus setting on my first visit. King’s College has an excellent Business program that’s internationally recognized. Their lacrosse program, and facilities are top notch. Head Coach (Andy) Orlowski, his staff, and the players have a great team first attitude that I can see myself thriving in. King’s is a perfect fit for me both academically, and athletically.

HS team’s 2018 outlook: “The team is loaded with seniors who have all grown together while taking our lumps as sophomores. Last year was our most successful season in PJPII history. This year our goal is to beat teams we’ve never beaten in the Pioneer Conference, make the PAC12 playoffs, and to advance through District 1 playoffs. I believe we have what it takes to achieve these goals. Now we have to go out, and prove it!”

Thank You: “I’d like to thank the many coaches, family, and friends who have helped me along the way.

“Thank you to the Daniel Boone/Amity Youth Lacrosse Program. The coaches, and volunteers truly helped me nurture my love of the game.

“I want to thank Brian Dougherty, and Drew Adams from Netnation Goalie School for their guidance while teaching me sound mechanics, and how to better focus on the mental aspect of being a goalie.

“Additionally, I need to thank my Pope John Paul II coaches, Sean Henry, and Blase Cesarone, for their faith in me, and for driving me to be the best I can be. Coach Cesarone and his staff were instrumental in helping me through the recruiting process.

“Lastly, I want to thank my parents for their constant support through youth, club, clinics, high school, and the challenging recruiting/college selection process. They’ve been by my side the entire way.”

Other schools considered: Westminster College, Thiel College, Neumann University
