Twelve student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to further their academic and athletic careers as members of the Ohio State men’s lacrosse program, head coach Nick Myers announced today.
The group consists of four midfielders, three attackmen, two goalies, two defensemen and one face off specialist.

“I would like to compliment my coaching staff as they have done an outstanding job of identifying a class of young men that really fit not only our needs but also into the culture we have worked so hard to establish,” said Myers. “This particular class represents seven states and some of the very best high school programs in the country. We look forward to getting these men in the Scarlet and Gray next year and following them all this spring as they compete for championships.”
Matt Clibanoff | Ambler, Pa. | La Salle College H.S./Duke’s LC | Attack
· Earned all-state accolades last year after scoring 36 goals and dishing out 36 assists for La Salle College High School.
· Led the Explorers to the PIAA state championship game.
· Two-time Philadelphia Catholic League selection.
Mike Clibanoff | Ambler, Pa. | La Salle College H.S./Duke’s LC | Goalie
· Brother of fellow signee Matt Clibanoff.
· First team all-Philadelphia Catholic League, PIAA all-state and U.S. Lacrosse All-American last season as a junior.
· Has helped La Salle College High School win back to back PCL league titles.
· Made 20 saves in a regular season victory over top-ranked Malvern Prep last season.
Scott White | West Chester, Pa. | Malvern Prep H.S./Man Up | Attack
· A three-year letterwinner who scored 56 goals and handed out 27 assists last season to earn second team All-Inter-AC honors.
· Competed at the 2017 Under Armour Underclass Tournament where he helped Team Philadelphia win the title.
· Enters his senior season with 107 career goals.
· Set a Malvern Prep record with 23 goals as a freshman in 2015.
· Scored the winning goal against Penn Charter to send Malvern Prep to the Inter-AC finals last season.
Anthony Ameo | Painesville, Ohio | St. Ignatius H.S. | Faceoff
· Three-year letterwinner and face-off specialist for Saint Ignatius High School.
· Won 73 percent of his face-offs last season (271-of-370).
· Has won nearly 70 percent of his career face-offs.
· Two-time All-Ohio.
· Has led Saint Ignatius to back to back state finals appearances.
· 2015 and 2016 NXT CanAm Showcase ‘King of the X’ champion.
· 2016 Under Armour All-American (Midwest).
Alec Cerasoli | Phoenix, Md. | Loyola Blakefield H.S. | Long Stick Midfield
· Long stick midfielder from one of the nation’s premier high school programs, Loyola Blakefield.
· Also was a member of the water polo and squash teams at Loyola Blakefield.
· Played club lacrosse for FCA MD Blue, the 2015 Crab Feast champions.
Buchanan Dunavant | Germantown, Tenn. | Memphis University School | Defense
· Four-year starter for Memphis University School in Memphis, Tenn.
· Helped team win back to back state championships as a sophomore and junior.
· State finalist as a freshman.
· Named a captain for senior season.
· Athletic defender who also is a three-year starter in football.
· An all-region linebacker.
Brandon Fisher | Lorton, Va. | Paul VI Catholic H.S. | Midfield
· Named a team captain for the 2018 season.
· Baltimore Summer Kickoff All Star Selection.
· Inside Lacrosse Committed Academy Watch List.
· D.C. Under Armour Underlcass All-America team selection.
· Honor roll student.
TJ Hendricks | Fairport, N.Y. | Fairport H.S./Avon Old Farms | Midfield
· Led Fairport High School in scoring for three straight years.
· Scored 36 goals and handed out 16 assists as a senior last year.
· Is currently enrolled at Avon Old Farms in Avon, Connecticut.
· Scored over 100 goals in his high school career.
· Also played basketball, helping Fairport reach the Class AA state championship game last winter.
Zach Ludd | Portsmouth, N.H. | The Governor’s Academy | Attack
· Three-sport standout at The Governor’s Academy.
· Team leader in points last season with 70 (32 goals, 38 assists).
· First team all-conference.
· Helped Governor’s Academy win the Independent School League title as a freshman in 2015.
· Also played basketball (guard) and football (wide receiver/safety).
Skylar Wahlund | Powell, Ohio | Olentangy Liberty H.S. | Goalie
· Under Armour All-American Midwest team.
· IMLCA All-Star.
· Second team All-Ohio as a junior.
· First team All-Region.
· Helped Olentangy Liberty reach the Division I state semifinals.
· In last year’s regional finals, made 18 saves in a 13-6 win over Olentangy to earn US Lacrosse Magazine Midwest Player of the Week honors.
George Walsh | York, Pa. | Calvert Hall College H.S. | Defense
· Defenseman for Calvert Hall, one of the nation’s top high school programs.
· Three-year starter.
· Helped Calvert Hall win the MIAA title as a junior, the program’s first since 2012.
· Competed at the 2017 Under Armour Underclass Tournament.
Johnny Wiseman | Powell, Ohio | Olentangy Liberty H.S. | Midfield
· Named Olentangy Liberty’s Offensive MVP after finishing with 81 points and leading the Patriots to the Division I state semifinals in 2017.
· Third team All-Ohio and first team all-region.
· Two-time team captain.
· Has 156 points over the last two seasons.
· Two-time All-OCC honoree.
· Also is a wide receiver/safety in football.
· OCC Buckeye Division Player of the Year in 2016.
