Abington Friends head Varsity coach

Abington Friends School, an independent school located in Jenkintown, PA, is seeking candidates for a Head Coach position with its Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team, starting in the spring of 2018. Candidates should have a strong lacrosse background and must be available from 3:30 – 7:00 pm on weekdays and at varied times during selected Saturdays from March through mid May. Candidates will also be expected to direct off-season training sessions and provide leadership to AFS’s middle and upper school girls’ lacrosse programs.

In addition, AFS seeks candidates with:
-a mastery of tactical concepts appropriate for competitive high school play.
-an attention to players’ technical skills development appropriate for competitive high school play.
-an ability to communicate program’s expectations and goals to players, parents, and wider school community.
-a commitment to building the entire girls’ lacrosse program by establishing consistent philosophies and teaching methods for all teams and coaches in the program and by assisting fellow coaches in their development.
-a willingness to organize and direct out-of-season training programs and youth clinics.
-a commitment to engaging in outreach into community lacrosse programs.
-an ability to cultivate an atmosphere that makes the program attractive to prospective student-athletes.
-a commitment to adhering to the values of the AFS Athletics department, the School, and the League.

Abington head coach

Abington Senior High School, a PIAA school and member of the Suburban One League, is seeking the following: Head Coach Girls Varsity Lacrosse

High school coaching experience required with collegiate coaching/playing experience preferred. Candidates should display the following: an advanced knowledge of lacrosse skills and fundamentals, a familiarity with PIAA protocol, high expectations for academic performance, good communication skills, and leadership skills.

The Head Coach of Girls Lacrosse will work under the supervision of the Director of Athletics and Principal to support the overall mission and vision of Abington Senior High School and its student-athletes.
Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume and references immediately. Updated Act 114, Act 34, and 151 clearances are required for the position.

Academy of Notre Dame JV B Coach

Harriton High assistants

Harriton High School (Rosemont, PA) is searching for two (2) positions–a Head Girls’ JV/Varsity Assistant and a Varsity Assistant . Successful candidate will implement a successful high school program: practices, games and training sessions; effectively monitor student-athlete academic progress and behavior; liaison between administration, student-athletes, parents and community; foster a positive relationship with the high school coaching staff and ensure smooth transition for student-athletes as they progress through the school program; effectively communicate with the other high school coaches and willingness to implement the high school system. Applicant should have knowledge of rules, strategy, teaching progressions and fundamentals. Must develop an effective supervision plan for student-athletes at all times. Successful candidate will demonstrate a sincere desire to assist in building a complete program.

Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Must be available after school, early evening and weekends. Previous playing and/or coaching experience preferred.

Middle School Lacrosse Coach at North Brandywine Middle School:

Archbishop Wood head coach

Archbishop Wood High School seeks a head girls’ lacrosse coach. Coaching experience is a plus, but is not required to apply.

Friends’ Central Head Coach

Friends’ Central is looking to hire a girls varsity lacrosse coach. This is a part time position (Feb-May), but the team will practice in the off-season. Practices are 3:30-5:30 M-Th and 3-5 on F with games Tu/F and Sat.

The candidate should have experience playing collegiate lacrosse and experience at coaching at a high-level program at the high school level.

This is a highly-competitive team in the Friends Schools League, winning the FSL championship the past three years and the state independent title three years ago.
