Head Coach Lorraine Beers has added former Germantown Academy coach Brooke Watson to the Archbishop Carroll Girls’ Lacrosse coaching staff.

“We’re extremely fortunate to have a coach of Brooke’s caliber on board for the upcoming season,” said Beers, who guided the Patriots to the 2017 PIAA Class AAA title and was named the Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year. “The girls will greatly benefit from Brooke’s deep knowledge of the game during the 2018 season and beyond.”

Watson was head coach at GA the past three years and also was the Team Pennsylvania head coach at the National Lacrosse Classic the past three years, guiding the squad to the National title in 2015 and 2016.

Watson began her career as the assistant field hockey and lacrosse coach at Harvard for two years, and then spent the past 21 years coaching at Germantown Academy. Watson also was the Assistant Coach for Team Philly at the Under Armour Underclassmen Games in 2016. She is a graduate of West Chester University where she played both field hockey and lacrosse for the Rams. Beyond coaching, Watson sits on various lacrosse selection committees including Brine, Under Armour, and the Heather Leigh Albert Award.

“Archbishop Carroll Girls’ Lacrosse is well-known as one of the top programs in the country and that’s a testament to not only the talent and work ethic of the players, but the dedication of the coaching staff as well,” said Watson. “I’m excited to join Coach Beers on the sidelines this spring.”
