Alexander Axman
High School: Boyertown High School
Graduation Year: 2019
Position: Midfield
College Choice: Delaware Valley University
Club Team: Headstrong Philadelphia Quakers
What do you plan to major in? Criminal Justice
Why did you choose DVU? “I immediately felt at home on my visit. I wanted to have a goal to work towards and Del Val is a great fit for me- a beautiful campus, small class sizes, and respected academics. DVU has great facilities, a positive team atmosphere, and a coaching staff that is engaged with their players on and off the field. Coach (Gary) Mercadante has a great vision for the future of his team and I really wanted to be part of that.
HS team’s team’s 2018 outlook/goals? “Compete in every game to reach our goals in our conference and playoffs.”
Thank You: “Most importantly my parents and family for their constant support. The coaches and teammates since u9 lax, especially my Headstrong Quakers coaches and Todd MacFarlane. Also, thanks to Coaches Mercadante, (Graig) Gallo, and (Corey) Shaffer for believing in me and offering me the opportunity be a part of the Del Val lacrosse family.”
Other schools considered: Widener, Albright, Alvernia, McDaniel. Thank you to all the coaches that expressed interest, gave me feedback, and offered visits.
