• Experience teaching or coaching lacrosse; previous competitive lacrosse experience is preferred
• Experience teaching lacrosse skills and strategies preferred
• Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect
• Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well-being of student-athletes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage relationships with administrators, student-athletes, and parents
• Ability to attend all team practices and games
• PA Child Abuse History Certification, PA State Criminal Record Check, and FBI Fingerprints are required and must be less than one year old.
• Must possess or obtain prior to start of season current First Aid and CPR certification

Abington Friends head Varsity coach
Abington Friends School, an independent school located in Jenkintown, PA, is seeking candidates for a Head Coach position with its Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team, starting in the spring of 2018. Candidates should have a strong lacrosse background and must be available from 3:30 – 7:00 pm on weekdays and at varied times during selected Saturdays from March through mid May. Candidates will also be expected to direct off-season training sessions and provide leadership to AFS’s middle and upper school girls’ lacrosse programs.

Applicant should have knowledge of rules, strategy, teaching progressions and fundamentals. Must develop an effective supervision plan for student-athletes at all times. Successful candidate will demonstrate a sincere desire to assist in building a complete program.
