Upper Moreland High School

League: Suburban 1 – American Conference

Coach: Kim Frantz, 2nd year
Assistant Coaches: Casey Dellostretto, Melanie Rowland, Melissa Felicetti

Last year’s record: 12-8 (Lost in second round of districts)

Key returners: Jess Flanagan (SR. Attack), MaddieGrace Wood (SR. Defense), Cheyanne Grumm (SR. Goalie), Kayla Meakim (JR. Defense), Abby Ellen Wood (SO. Defense), Moira Olexa (SO. Mid), Bryanna Gordon (SO. Attack), Alexis Lamb (SO. Mid), Chloe Leiter (SO. Mid), Emma Meakim (SO. Attack), Megan O’Donnell (SO. Attack), Cassidy Hirsh (SO. Mid)

Players to watch: Claudia Zanine (JR. Mid) , Zoe Wolfenson (SR. Defense), Jess White (SR. Defense), Erin Slater (SR. Attack), Maddy Trzaska (FR. Defense)

Coach’s outlook: “We are excited for this year. We are returning a lot of our starters from last year and have a lot of talent as a team. With a few new opponents added to our schedule we are looking forward to a challenging yet exciting year. We hope to return to playoffs and make it farther than we did last year, and to be more competitive in our league this year. We are looking forward to a great year.”

Garnet Valley High School

League: Central League

Coach: Jenny Purvis -6th year

Last year’s record: State Semi-Finalists, 18-8

Key returnees: Kamryn McNeal (A), Riley Delaney (M), Cam Faith (A), Kara Nealon (M), Regan Nealon (M), Madi McKee (A) Emma Taviano (D), Linda Zamrowski (D)

Coach’s outlook for 2018 season: “Garnet Valley looks to have a strong 2018 season with many returning impact players. All of our starters are experienced, talented, and are ready to play as one. We are looking forward to many challenging games this year and believe with hard work, focus, and selflessness, the Jags will have a productive and rewarding season.”
