Central Bucks South 2016 defenseman Connor Grant has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Marywood University.
Connor Grant ledger:
High School: Central Bucks South
Graduation Year: 2016
Position: Defense
College Choice: Marywood University
Club Affiliation: Twist
Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases: 2014 JV Defensive Player of the Year
What will you major in/study? Biology/Secondary Education
Why did you choose school? “Marywood offers me the best combination of Athletics and Academics. First and foremost it offers my major along with rigorous academic standards that will help achieve my future goals. Along with this they offer outstanding Academic facilities. Finally, It gives me the chance to play lacrosse for an extremely competitive D3 program.”
Outlook for 2016 HS season? “This past spring we were the first men’s lacrosse team in C.B. South history to win our conference. We lost a lot of strong players in the 2015 class. But, we still have a very solid group of core players along with younger players looking to step up this spring. This year we are hoping to defend our conference title and earn the first back to back conference titles in C.B. South history.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank my Warriors Lacrosse coaches, specifically Coach Pacillio, Coach Fisher, and Coach Nickerson, for teaching me fundamentals and to make sure that I just have fun with lacrosse. I’d like to thank the caching staff at Twist for really helping transform my game and take the next step towards playing at the next level. I would like to thank my high school coaches, Coach Sharman, Coach Henze, Coach Strayline, and Coach Mohapp, for all they’ve done to make me the best player I can be.
“Lastly, I would like to give a special thank you to my family for everything they have done for me over the past few years. I’d like to say thank you to my brother and sister for pushing me to be a better person on and off the field. I’d like to thank my parents for supporting me financially through my lacrosse career and for taking me up and down the east coast for tournaments, college visits, and prospect days. I couldn’t have done it without you!”
