Luke Roselli had two goals, an assist and won 16 of 23 faceoffs while Jerry Bardol led a balanced attack with two goals and five assists as visiting Upper Dublin toppled Wissahickon, 12-9, Friday in a battle of league unbeatens and clinch at least a tie for the Suburban One American Conference title.
The Cards – No. 2 in this week’s Phillylacrosse.com Rankings – are 13-1 overall and 7-0 in the conference with just an away game Monday at Quakertown remaining.
Max Winebrake added three goals and an assist and Jed Hanson scored three goals for the Cards while Dillon Lojeski posted nine saves in goal. Cary Romig and Jason Williams each scored once.
The Trojans (5-8 overall, 5-1 conference) have rebounded from an 0-6 start and came into play having won five of their last six. They trailed 6-2 after the first quarter, but rallied to make it an 8-6 game at halftime. The Cards scored three straight in the third to make it 11-6, but a Jackson Intrieri rocket found the net for a man-up goal that made it an 11-9 game with six minutes remaining in regulation.
Intrieri led the Trojans with a five-point night, scoring two goals and assisting on three others. John Dickson and Harrison Williams both had a pair of goals. Brody Myers had a goal and an assist, and scoring one goal each were Owen Baim and Michael Licata.
