Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Rankings: Villa Maria moves into No. 9 spot after winning District 1 AA crown

The Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Rankings:

1. Moorestown-NJ (19-2) Prev: No. 1 – The Quakers won the South Jersey Group 3 title and meet Allentown in the state semifinals Wednesday at Point Pleasant Boro.

2. Garnet Valley (20-2) Prev: No. 4 – The Jaguars won the District 1 AAA title and open PIAA play Tuesday against District 1 seventh-place finisher Downingtown East at Marple Newtown (5 p.m.).

3. Agnes Irwin (19-5) Prev: No. 5 – The Owls defeated Episcopal Academy for the PAISAA championship.

4. Springfield-Delco (18-4) Prev: No. 6 – The Cougars finished second in District 1 AAA and open PIAA play Tuesday against District 3 third-place finisher Exeter at Radnor (5 p.m.).

5. Archbishop Carroll (16-2) Prev: No. 7 – The Patriots won the District 12 championship and open PIAA play Tuesday vs. District 1 fourth-place finisher Perkiomen Valley at Northeast High (6 p.m.).

6. Unionville (20-2) Prev: No. 2 – The Indians finished third in District 1 AAA and open PIAA play Tuesday against District 12 runner-up Easton at Northampton (3:45 p.m.).

7. Episcopal Academy (18-7) Prev: No. 3 – EA fell to Agnes Irwin in the PAISAA championship game.

8. Manheim Township (20-1) Prev: No. 10- The Blue Streaks won the District 3 AAA title and open PIAA Tuesday against District 1 sixth-place finisher Owen J. Roberts at Exeter (7 p.m.).

9. Villa Maria Academy (19-2) Prev: NR – – The Hurricanes won the District 1 AA championship and open PIAA play Tuesday against District 3 third-place finisher Wyomissing at Methacton (4 p.m.)

10. Radnor (16-5) Prev: No. 8 – The Raiders finished second in District 1 AA and open PIAA play Tuesday against District 2 champion Wyoming Seminary at Lake Lehman at 4 p.m.

11. Cape Henlopen-DE (16-1) Prev: No. 11 – The Vikings host Archmere in the Delaware state semifinals on Tuesday.

12. Haddonfield-NJ (19-1) Prev: No. 12 – The Bulldawgs won the South Jersey Group 2 title and meet Rumson-Fair Haven in the state semifinals Tuesday.

13. Perkiomen Valley (15-7) Prev: No. 13 – The Vikings finished fourth in the District 1 AAA tourney and open PIAA play Tuesday against District 12 champion Archbishop Carroll at Northeast High (6 p.m.)

14. Penncrest (17-4) Prev: No. 9 – The Lions finished third in the District 1 AA and open PIAA play against District 11 champion Saucon Valley at Emmaus Tursday at 5 p.m.

15. Downingtown West(17-6) Prev: NR – The Whippets came through as the No. 5 seed out of District 1 AAA and meet District 12 champion Archbishop Carroll Tuesday in the first round of PIAA play At Northeast High (4 p.m.).
