Moorestown’s girls’ lacrosse team will get another shot at Summit.
The Quakers, ranked No. 1 in the region by Phillylacrosse.com, routed Allentown, 15-1, Wednesday at Point Pleasant Boro High School Wednesday afternoon in the New Jersey Group 3 semifinals.
The Quakers, 20-2, will face Summit (19-3) in the final Saturday at Kean University in Union with a chance to avenge back-to-back losses to the Hilltoppers in Group 3 title games.
Moorestown had no trouble Wednesday against Allentown (15-5), a team it defeated, 15-3, earlier in the year.
The Quakers scored the first eight goals and led, 9-1, at halftime.
Moorestown used a 6-0 second half run to put the victory on ice with a running clock in place for most of it after its work put the Quakers in that position in the first half
Robin Panzarella led with five goals and Kacey Knobloch had three tallies while Colette Smith had a goal and four assists. Cailin Field had two goals and an assist and red twice and Kayla Frank, Isa Arvelo, Ava Frantz and Avery Jaffee each had a goal.
