Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9am – 3pm and is open to any girls in rising 3rd – 9th grade. Optional lunch and aftercare (3:30-5:30pm) will also be available for purchase in the weeks leading up to camp.
The primary focus of camp is fun and personal development. Excel’s curriculum includes a variety of individual skills including stickwork (technique & creativity), shooting (technique, selection, accuracy, power), and defensive concepts (communication, checking, slides, groundballs). From a team perspective, we’ll be reviewing small-sided concepts (2v2s, 3v3s, man-up/man-down) as well as full field concepts (clearing, riding). Off the field, campers will have the opportunity to participate in specialty sessions, including leadership, nutrition, body awareness/strength training, speed & agility and more.

6 Points Sports Academy URJ Summer Lacrosse Camp for Jewish boys and girls, 4th to 11th grade, Greensboro, N.C. 6 Points Sports Academy is located in a 100-acre, $100 million dollar state-of-the-art athletic and camp facilities of the American Hebrew Academy. At 6 Points Sports Academy, athletes from 35 different states all over North America and 7 different countries participate in a unique camping experience that offers top-level sports coaching and all the beloved traditions of Reform Jewish camping. Within its kind and nurturing community, campers form friendships for life while feeding their passion for their chosen sport – and achieve a higher quality of life as young Jewish athletes. The camp offers three separate sessions of 2 weeks each, with many campers choosing to experience 6 Points for 4 – or even 6 – weeks per summer. The coaches are NCAA level coaches – most of whom have been with the camp since day 1. These coaches – many of which coach the USA teams for Maccabi USA – are skilled enough to challenge the top tiered athlete who comes to camp, and to teach, mentor and guide the lower skilled athletes who love their sport and love being at camp at the same time. This magical experience takes place on the finest camp facility in all of North America. Campers live in air-conditioned college style dorms, with either 1 or 2 roommates that they have the option of selecting prior to arrival at camp.
During each day of the two week long session, campers participate in 4 hours of intensive skill development in one chosen sport (their sports major) and 2 hours of electives. Sports majors include girls’ lacrosse, boys’ lacrosse, soccer, tennis, basketball, baseball, softball, swimming, and cheerleading / dance. This year they have added volleyball as a sports major for the first time ever during our 3rd session. Electives include kayaking, rock climbing, gaga, rugby, ultimate frisbee, flag football, 9 square in the air, weight training, cross country, and lacrosse. Jewish values are infused in everything we do at camp, starting with our 6 core values. Values are presented to our campers as ways to live Jewishly, as ways to live humanly, and as ways to live successfully. These values are presented by our Rabbis, faculty, and Jewish life team at camp each morning during our “Sportscenter” value presentation.
