Boys’ Events
Club Tryouts
Olde English boys’ club tryouts on July 9th and 10th at Phoenixville High. Age Groups: 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028/29. Time: 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no cost for team tryouts but all players must register in advance at: http://www.oldeenglishlax.com/
Bucks Select boys’ tryouts on Sunday, Aug. 5 at CB East Patriots Stadium in Doylestown. The tryouts are for players in grades 3 to 11. Players can register at www.bucksselect.com.
Summer League
Lower Bucks County Summer League by Arrowhead Lacrosse. Games take place on TUESDAYS from the end of June through July and begin at 6pm, 7pm, & 8pm sharp. Games consist of two 23 minute running time halves. Fields are located at Middletown Community Park in Langhorne, PA. Each game will have a certified official and contact is limited. The focus of the league is to work on fundamentals and team play.
The season lasts five weeks. Summer League is for HS graduating classes of 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Summer League starts on Tuesday June 19th.

Dates: June 19th, June 26th, July 3, July 10, & July 17
Games start at 6 PM, 7 PM, & 8PM (each team plays one game per week and is guaranteed at least one game under the lights at 8pm) All registered players are allowed to play in as many games per night as teams may need additional players.
All players register as Free Agents and are assigned to their HS team (as space allows.) The first 120 registrants will receive an Arrowhead reversible.
Full field layout allows for 10v10 game scenarios.
The 5 week season promotes individual and team development.
Summer Benefit Game
Shootout for Soldiers Philadelphia, June 26-27 (7 p.m. start, for 24 hours) at Episcopal Academy.

Shootout for Soldiers is a 24 hour lacrosse event with a mission to use lacrosse as a platform to support American veterans and foster community engagement. The games are fun – and are meant to bring the community together in support of our nation’s heroes. There is no championship or all-star team and the score runs for all 24 hours.
There is good food, music and a festival of activities beyond lacrosse that make it a family friendly event for all. Last year SFS Philadelphia raised over $66k dollars through the support of over 700 players and 3,200 spectators in the Philadelphia area.
Those interested can sponsor a team to ensure the team meets its fundraising requirement. Veterans can register for the Veterans Game.
Summer Box Training
Penn Lax All-Stars Summer Training & Games, uses the combination of box training & game each week run by NLL professionals. Wednesdays, June 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18 & 25, at MapleZone SI, Boothwyn.

Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse Academy, a program for youth of all ages – boys and girls – that will be run out of the Wings Training Center in Voorhees, NJ. The Wings Lacrosse Academy will focus on skill building, fun, and interactive lacrosse designed to further the development of the younger lacrosse generation. The mission of the Academy is to expose both beginners and current players to the world of box lacrosse. The skills taught within the courses will not only enhance box lacrosse knowledge and skills, but also help advance the skills used in field lacrosse.

Summer youth training
West Chester Lacrosse Association Boys’ and Girls’ Speed school at Kelly Field is open to boy and girl athletes of all ages and will run mid-June through mid-July. Sessions will be led by Dan Deckelbaum, personal trainer licensed by NASE (National Association of Speed and Explosion), professional lacrosse player and state champion coach.

Girls summer programs and West Chester Patriots are lead by WCLA Girls Director, Amanda Gionfriddo and boys summer programs, Elevated, and Speed School at Kelly Field are led by WCLA Boys Director, Dan Deckelbaum.
Summer Face-Off Leagues
Philly Face-Off League, for faceoff guys in grades 3-12, each week on Wednesdays this summer at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. This is an IDEAL clinic for face-off guys who want to compete against other quality face-off players for 90 minutes while receiving individualized instruction. The Philly Face-Off League is run by John Bodnar, Mike Dolente, and Shawn Kaplan. They all have an extensive background in working with some of the best face-off guys in the area and are asking for more guys to compete. The PFL will run for 10 sessions on Wednesday nights starting May 30 from 6-7:30 PM. Any player in grades 3-12 are welcome to attend. Current college players home from school are welcome to practice as well!

Summer Speed Training
Friends’ Central School Speed Camp is designed for athletes 10 and up to learn and apply proper running mechanics and acceleration to take individual athletic development to the next level. Camp will be led by Jason Kilgore, Director/Head Coach of Track & Field and Cross Country at West Chester University. Coach Kilgore holds USATF Level 2 certifications in Hurdles/Relays and Jumps while also earning USTFCCCA Specialist certifications in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays and Jumps, as well as strength and conditioning. Alongside Coach Kilgore will be FCS Varsity Baseball coach Matt Rowley. Coach Rowley earned a master’s degree in exercise science and has been an assistant indoor track coach at Lower Merion HS since 2014. He was a member of a WCU record-breaking 4×400 meter relay and held the individual indoor 300m record. Rowley has also spent time working as a minor league strength and conditioning coach with the LA Dodgers and the Texas Rangers. Summer Leagues
Back 2 Basics Lacrosse summer league at The All Sports Center in Collegeville for HS juniors/seniors and college players. The league provides a unique opportunity for teams to compete in short field situations in a 6v6 setting. Games are played with outdoor principals and offer players a chance to develop skills of shooting, passing and movement in tight quarters. All games will be played on ASC’s state-of-the-art back-to-back turf fields.

Summer Training
Westtown School Summer 5th-8th Grade Boys Lacrosse Clinic, July 31 to Thursday, August 2, 5:45-7:45 p.m, open to all 5th-8th graders. Each day players will run through a series of skills, drills, and even and uneven situations that are used in both the field and box game. Between them, Coach Todd MacFarlane (Westtown School head coach) and Coach Mueller have over 50 years of lacrosse experience and have coached, trained, and mentored numerous middle school, high school, and collegiate All-Conference & All-Americans as well professional and international players.

Dodging & Shooting Academy
Focus on proper footwork, body positioning, and building a “dodge to score” mindset. The final piece is the ability to finish your shots from all areas and angles on the field.

Defense Academy
The Defense Academy offers Defenders, LSMs, and Midfielders the opportunity to break down the fundamentals of the position and graduate with the tools to be a next level player. Players will be taught the proper footwork, communication, body/stick positioning, stick checks, and mentality to become a shut-down defender from every area of the field.

Elite Shooter Academy
An extension of our dodging and shooting academy, the Elite Shooting Academy is designed specifically for high school and collegiate players looking to become more dynamic finishers. Our shooting curriculum helps maximize velocity, accuracy, and consistency to develop our players into total body shooters.

Summer Tournaments
Boys Summer Slam, by Victory Events, June 23-24
After announcing a sell-out and closing the Boys Summer Slam 2018 registration 2 weeks ago, the Victory Event Series reported that the Boys Summer Slam waiting list has grown significantly. Due to increasing demand and excitement surrounding this year’s 9th annual Boys Summer Slam. The Victory Event Series has partnered with the Greater Chester Valley Soccer Association’s Line Road Field Complex in Malvern, PA which features an additional seven beautiful natural grass fields. This addition brings the total field capacity for the Boys Summer Slam tournament to 30 fields. The tournament will return to both The Westtown School and West Chester United’s Delacy Soccer Complex as well as return to the West Chester Area School District at West Chester Rustin High School this year. All facilities are within 10 miles of one another and teams will be assigned to facilities based on grade divisions. Teams will not be scheduled to move between facilities on the same day. The Victory Event Series prides itself on hosting elite events and elite venues and delivering the total lacrosse experience. Limited spots remain in the event and divisions will be filled first-come, first-serve with some divisions with very limited spots due to facility constraints. Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse Invitational on July 9-11, at Caravel Academy in Bear, DE. The event, run by the Lax Federation, will feature 48 Teams on six fields and over 65 college coaches. Located on the beautiful Caravel Academy campus in Delaware. It is a short drive from Philadelphia, Baltimore and the East Coast Beaches. The LAX FED Mid Atlantic Invitational is a highly competitive 3-day tournament for high school aged teams. 60+ college coaches are on staff to make it a top recruiting event of the summer.
Each team is guaranteed five games over three days. Games begin on Monday July 9 at noon or later and end Wednesday July 11 in the afternoon. Game video for all 5 games will be included for all teams!
All-Star teams will be selected for 2019, 2020, 2021/22 graduation years. They will compete on Tuesday afternoon following our skills competition presented by Epoch Lacrosse.
Epoch Lacrosse, Lax AllStars, and ConnectLAX will be on site for the entire three days catching all the action and taking interviews from coaches, players, and spectators.

Apex Summer Invitational, July 10-11, The College of New Jersey, 00 Pennington Road, Ewing Township, NJ.
Divisions: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022. This small, invite-only lacrosse tournament is for the top lacrosse club programs in the country. The APEX Summer Invitational will feature teams from all over the county in a 2-day event. Each team will play 3 games on Tuesday, followed by 1 game on Wednesday leading into the playoffs. All teams will be guaranteed 5 games. This format allows for all teams to have a great schedule and evenly-matched games. On Tuesday evening an All-Star Game will be held under the lights in the Stadium.

The Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 nominations are being accepted for the event on July 11-12 at the DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, DE. For high school boys and girls graduating in 2020, 2021 & 2022 and committed players in the classes of 2018 and 2019. The Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 is geared to maximize athletic recruiting opportunities for athletes and NCAA lacrosse coaches. Entering its third year, the summer Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 brings together a diverse pool of players that want to supplement their club team participation with an individual showcase that is highly regarded to be one of the best – by collegiate level lacrosse coaches.
Whether you’re uncommitted or committed to attend the college of your choice, the National Prospect Elite 80 is your chance to play with and against other 2020, 2021 and 2022 top-tier players in nation this summer.

The USSSA 2018 National Lacrosse Classic and National Lacrosse Academy, by Legacy Global and , will be held on July 16-19 at the Delaware Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, DE.
The 11th annual event brings together the finest players and coaches July 16-19, 2018 in an event offering extreme competition, exposure to the next level of the sport and an Olympic-style lacrosse experience for every player.
Regional team qualifiers are scheduled throughout the country for all players.

Summer Prospect Days
St. Joseph’s Fly with the Hawks Elite Camp, for Classes of 2019, 2020 & 2021, July 24, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Fly With The Hawks Elite Prospect Day is designed for elite 2018, 2019 and 2020 players that we have seen play and/or who have a strong interest in Saint Joseph’s University. This camp will provide high level instruction from the SJU staff and players while giving participants the opportunity to showcase their ability against top level competition. The camp will include a presentation segment designed to give insight into the life of a college lacrosse player, an overview of the SJU program and helpful information about the recruiting process. We also include a Q&A session with current players. On the field we focus instruction on fundamentals, position work, and competitive simulations. We expose players to the same drills we run during our practice sessions. Our hope is that you leave Hawk Hill having improved your game and with greater understanding of what it takes to play at the college level.
