Abington Friends Varsity Girls Lacrosse Head Coach
Abington Friends School, an independent school located in Jenkintown, PA, is seeking candidates for a Head Coach position with its Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team for the 2018-19 spring season. Candidates should have a strong lacrosse background and must be available from 3:30 – 7:00 pm on weekdays and at varied times during selected Saturdays from March through mid May. Candidates will also be expected to direct off-season training sessions and provide leadership to AFS’s middle and upper school girls’ lacrosse programs.
In addition, AFS seeks candidates with:
-a mastery of tactical concepts appropriate for competitive high school play.
-an attention to players’ technical skills development appropriate for competitive high school play.
-an ability to communicate program’s expectations and goals to players, parents, and wider school community.
-a commitment to building the entire girls’ lacrosse program by establishing consistent philosophies and teaching methods for all teams and coaches in the program and by assisting fellow coaches in their development.
-a willingness to organize and direct out-of-season training programs and youth clinics.

-an ability to cultivate an atmosphere that makes the program attractive to prospective student-athletes.
-a commitment to adhering to the values of the AFS Athletics department, the School, and the League.

Bryn Mawr College assistant
Bryn Mawr College Women’s lacrosse team seeks a part-time assistant coach. The candidate will assist in all aspects of the program, including practice planning, team and individual training, recruiting, scouting, and other duties. Collegiate lacrosse coaching or playing experience preferred. Knowledge of Frontrush, Coach Packet, and Krossover preferred but not required. We are looking for a high energy, dynamic individual who has a passion for coaching and mentoring. All candidates should possess an understanding of the role physical education and athletics play in a rigorous academic setting and an ability to identify and attract outstanding students to the College.
Salary and Start Date: This is a part-time paid position that also offers the opportunity to run camps and clinics for additional income as well as teach Physical Education courses to help supplement the salary. The position is available July 15th.
