2 Year Varsity Captain, Brine National Team, 2015 National School Girls

Why did you choose San Diego State? “I chose San Diego State because it has everything I wanted. It gives me the opportunity to play at the next level and be a part of a family as soon as I get to California. Academically, it gives me the chance to pursue my future career as a Physical Therapist after college. Although it’s on the West Coast and a little far from home, it has everything that I could want in a school.”

HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “Moving forward into our 2016 season, I think other teams are underestimating us. We will be a young team with only two returning seniors, but we have a lot of talented girls. I’m excited to get started and hopefully end the season with a conference title and maybe even a state ring.”

Thank You: “I’d like to thank my high school coach, Katie Lee, for making me the player I have become today. She always knows when to push me and how to make me better.

“I’d like to thank my teammates for making me work hard and challenging me on and off the field to become a better player.

“I’d like to also thank Mr. Slack, an old coach and now one of my favorite supporters in the stands for being the first person to truly make me love lacrosse as much as I do now.

“Lastly, I’d like to thank my family, especially my parents, for being my support system. They always give endless pats on the back when I deserve them and are always the first ones to tell me I should’ve made a different cut, ran a little faster to catch a girl, or talk a little more. As much as any kid would hate to admit, my parents were right, hard work does pay off.”

Other schools considered: Coastal Carolina, University of Tampa
