All eyes in the lacrosse world were on the Boys Philly Showcase and Philly Freshman Showcase this weekend.
Showcase Lacrosse is proud to announce that 237 college coaches attended the Philly Showcase Weekend One hundred and thirty-eight Division I, II and III schools sent at least one coach, including 64 of 69 Division I schools. All 16 teams that made the NCAA Division I tournament last year sent coaches, nine of which sent multiple coaches.
Forty-three Division I schools sent multiple coaches to Philly Showcase Weekend. They are Air Force, Army, Bellarmine, Binghamton, Boston University, Brown, Bryant, Bucknell, Colgate, Cornell, Dartmouth, Delaware, Fairfield, Furman, Harvard, Holy Cross, Johns Hopkins, Lafayette, Lehigh, Loyola, Manhattan, Maryland, Mercer, Mount St. Mary’s, Navy, NJIT, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Providence, Quinnipiac, Robert Morris, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, Siena, Syracuse, Towson, UMass, Vermont, Villanova and Virginia.
Twelve schools brought their full staffs to the Philly Showcase Weekend. They are Boston University, Delaware, Johns Hopkins, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn, Penn State, Providence and Villanova.
“It’s great to see so many college coaches attend NXT’s Showcase events to identify and scout the best talent in the country,” Director of Showcase Lacrosse Brett Manney said. “There are a lot of events out there, so to see so many coaches make NXT a priority validates our hard work. More than 90 percent of NCAA Division I programs were here this weekend, reaffirming Showcase’s reputation for offering players the top exposure possible.
