Montgomery County
Tryouts for the MONTGOMERY COUNTY Keystone State Games will take place on Thursday July 2nd and Tuesday July 7th starting at 5:30pm (approx. 1.5 hours) at Upper Merion Area High School, 435 Crossfield Rd. King of Prussia 19406. Please arrive up to 15-30 minutes early to warm-up and to check-in. Please bring a numbered pinnie for tryouts.
If selected for the team, the Youth and Junior Division costs per player to participate is $125 which includes registration, insurance and uniforms. Rooms have been reserved for parents to book a stay for these teams at the Ramada Inn, parents are welcome to make their own arrangements as well. There are usually 2 practices the week before the games that are scheduled but not mandatory in order to participate.
The HS (Scholastic Division) cost is $275 and includes lodging, registration, insurance, uniforms and transportation from King of Prussia on Friday 7/24 and returning on Sunday 7/26. The team will stay at the Ramada Inn on Atherton Blvd. for Friday and Saturday nights. HS students are paired together and stay in a double occupancy room.

Summer Face-off Training

The Philly Face-Off league begins its summer league on June 1st and will hold its session every Tuesday night from 5-6:30, at the Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. Players from more than 50 high schools and 22 club programs as well as some select middle schools competed during the winter league to practice and train against elite competition on a weekly basis.

College D1 Experience

“Experience a Day in the Life of a D1 Lacrosse Player at Lafayette” for boys in the classes of 2015 to 2019, with the Lafayette Men’s Lacrosse team. The Summer Session event is being held on Tuesday, June 30 at the campus in Easton, Pa. Open to any and all participants for $200, and $150 if you register by June 1.

Liberty Bell Challenge’s inaugural individual showcase, July 10, at Germantown Academy, PA, is open for applications from all players, from any club, the invitation process will begin next week and continue only until the 175 spots are filled. The showcase is the kickoff to a weekend that features the first tournament for The Passport Alliance, a group of elite club programs.Click here to apply.

2015 Mid-Atlantic Clash, a competitive lacrosse event for boys being held at Malvern Prep on Saturday, July 18th. The tournament’s schedule will comprise of two divisions: 10 teams of 2018 players and 10 teams of 2019 players. A maximum of 20 teams will be admitted for the tournament. The staff will be comprised of 10 DI college coaches and an assortment of local high school coaches and players. Summer Tournaments

The Leopard Classic, July 1 at Lafayette College. The one-day tourney runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and features 2016, 2017, 2018, and Mixed Divisions. High School and club teams are welcome. Each division is limited to 12 teams. The tourney is open to any and all participants.
Format: 3 games guaranteed; Fields used: Fisher Stadium and Metzgar grass fields; Games are two 25min running halves; College rules with referees; NCAA Teaching session and recruiting talk after your team ’ s 1st Game; Water and trainer at every field ( Playing Surfaces: Field Turf and Grass)
Cost: $1000 per team

Morey’s Piers Beach Lacrosse Tournament, for youth, high school and college teams on July 18-19 in the heart of the Wildwood beaches, N.J. This tournament gives lacrosse players of all ages a chance to enjoy the game in a new and exciting way. Teams from all over the East Coast and beyond compete on the beaches of Wildwood as well as enjoy the waterparks and beach during the day and the famous Wildwood boardwalk and amusements in the evening. The tournament offers participants and their families an exclusive discounted weekend package to Morey’s Piers Amusement Rides and Raging Waters and Ocean Oasis Waterparks and a delicious Saturday night picnic served at Rendezvous Beach Picnic Pavilion.Questions? Games are 5v5, 4 field players plus a goalie, with a maximum of 10 players per team. Each game will have two 18-minute halves with a 4-minute break. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games. Divisions will run from Boy’s & Girl’s U8 – U18, Men’s & Women’s Open. Beach Lacrosse is played with NO SHOES (except goalies).
Wristbands are valid for access to Raging Waters Waterpark and Ocean Oasis Waterpark and Beach Club, plus the amusement rides on all 3 Amusement Piers (daily wristband restrictions apply: go carts, SkyScraper, SkyCoaster, Climbing wall, Screamin’ Swing, High Flyer and Springshot are not included) all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday during operating hours. American Revolution Middle School Invitational, July 13-14, at Maple Zone Sports Institute’s new outdoor complex in Aston. The event is for boys’ teams in the 2020, 2021, 2022 age classes and limited to 10 clubs. The games will be 22 minute running games with 5 minute halftime; each age group playing one game at a time, intimate environment for coaches, athletes, and parents, all games played on synthetic turf fields. Games will be professionally filmed and made available for purchase, five game guarantee. Teams will play three pool games Monday and two seeded games Tuesday with the possibility of playing in a championship game. E-mail info@americanrevolutionlax.com if interested.

8th Annual Patriot Games, July 18-19, by Heritage Lacrosse, at three sites in beautiful Bucks County, PA, featuring 22 fields in total. The Patriot Games Lacrosse Showcase is a popular boys’ lacrosse tournament held every July at venues in the heart of beautiful and historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania – a convenient forum at the crossroads of major lacrosse hotbeds, including Maryland, New England, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The event attracts the top club teams looking to test themselves against a diverse field of elite programs from other regions and to punctuate their summer travel season with a grand finale. The event features teams from traditional hotbeds on the East Coast as well as talented contingents from Canada and emerging regions of the country, including California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and Washington. Past events have also included “Bridge” programs from Baltimore and Philadelphia. The Patriot Games has been selected by NDP Lacrosse as an “Approved Qualifying Event” for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions, which will take place outside of Tampa in January 2015. Top finishing teams in selected divisions will earn bids to join other top club teams from around the nation to compete in the high profile, national championship event. The brackets and divisions are organized by graduation year (i.e. 2015 – 2023 will have AA & A Divisions). Teams in each age group will be also recognized for sportsmanship based largely on sportsmanship scorecards kept by certified officials and site marshals after each game, taking into account the spirit of the game and conduct on both sides of the field, including spectators. Goalie Championships

GUARDIAN National Goalie Championship, July 27-30, Spooky Nook, Manheim (Lancaster) PA. This event will showcase and celebrate the best goalies nation-wide in a National Championship and will measure them based on the unique and patented Goaltender rating and classification system (GRC) for recruiting opportunities. Face-Off Championships

The I-95 Cup , the ultimate challenge to see which AREA of the country has the most talented face-off midfielders. The top 10 players from Philly, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland/Virginia will meet Aug. 16 in Philadelphia’s Maple Zone Sports Institute in Garnet Valley for a 1-day tournament. The Face-Off Academy’s Greg Gurenlian, Chris Mattes, and Jerry Ragonese are constantly traveling the country working with face-off athletes. When they are not on the road, all three have set up training combines where they live. Greg Gurenlian runs a daily face-off combine in New York City, Chris Mattes runs his in Maryland, and Jerry in New Jersey. All three FOA coaches will represent and coach their respective AREAS at the I-95 Cup.
The Philadelphia team will be chosen by Philly Face-Off League co-founders John Bodnar and Mike Dolente. Both highly respected face-off coaches in the area, the Philly Face-Off League is where the most elite face-off midfielders in the Greater Philly area can practice and train together on a weekly basis.
Each area will host a tryout on a specific date.

Youth programming

Fusion Futures year-round development instruction is a program designed by Fusion Lacrosse, for grades 3rd-6th. Futures mimics the Fusion Elite platform, with development and elite instruction at its core. Enrollment is OPEN. Here’s is what you are getting as a Fusion Future team member:
At least 50 hours of development with professional players Kevin Crowley (MLL, NLL, World games MVP) and Steven Holmes (MLL and NLL vet), and High School Coordinators Matt McCormick, Ryan Sankey, and Kevin Philibin. This staff among others works with your sons for every single hour of practice time.
Year-round experience: Futures participates in fall training and tournaments, winter training and tournaments, and summer training and tournaments.
Box Training:Fusion founders; Kevin Crowley and Steven Holmes, have nearly 15 years of professional box lacrosse experience between them. They are experts at teaching and utilizing the box game as a tremendous tool for outdoor success. Learning and developing the box game at a young age is crucial!
Maximum repetitions and proper developmental base: Fusion’s extensive experience has created an atmosphere of practicing and drills that are run at a college level pace yet are FUN for young players and breed a love for the game.
