The 2nd Annual AILA Heritage Cup, a premier box lacrosse tournament sponsored by AILA and powered by Heritage Lacrosse, will be held on Sunday, January 17th over Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend at the Sportsplex Indoor Sports Center in Feasterville, PA. The AILA Heritage Cup is open to youth, high school and adult teams and will feature the following:
* Box lacrosse goals; multiple touches and fast-paced play.
* Three (3) forty-minute games; rules designed to limit checking.
* Goalies will be provided box lacrosse gear for use during play, courtesy of Boddam Goalie Equipment.
*A Coaches’ clinic conducted for attendees by Johnny Mouradian, Director of the Canadian National Indoor Lacrosse Program.
The clinics will focus on Canadian-style techniques, including the “2-Man Game” and inside scoring tips, to help American players become more effective as the convergence of box and field lacrosse concepts at the college and international level continues to accelerate. Brackets are organized using the Canadian-style terminology, but provide for the grouping of teams by grade and graduation year given how most travel clubs are set up in the States. Space is limited, and registrations will be processed on a first come, first served basis (subject to level of interest and balancing of brackets). To register, please click here.
Winter Showcases
College Lacrosse Showcase, at Maplezone Sports Institute, Dec. 28. The inaugural event was a success last year and directors look to build off that by giving players the opportunity to showcase all skill sets for college coaches. Players (Class of 2016 to 2019) will be put through a series of sports performance testing. Results will be recorded and given to the college coaches to see how each player measures and ranks. Once the sports performance testing is completed the players will receive a recruitment talk from the coaches in attendance (14 last year). The session will end with a Q&A from player to coaches. Players will then break off into positions where players will receive skill based instruction from the college coaches. This is a key evaluation by the coaches to see how quickly a player can adapt as well as how coach-able they are. Those skills will then be tested in game simulations. The day will conclude with live play with the coaches divided up coaching each team.
Location: Maplezone Sports Institute, 1451 Conchester Highway, U.S. Route 322, Garnet Valley, PA 19061

2016 National 175 Best of the Best Club Team Showcase, HS Division Locations – Mitchel Athletic Complex, Nassau Community College, Kellenberg Memorial HS, Cantiague Park. Youth Division Location TBA.
The National 175 Best of the Best Club Team Showcase was conceived on the premise that the strongest programs in the country want to compete against each other in order to establish which program really is the best team in each graduation year across the nation. Much as the efforts of rankings in high school or college lacrosse are not an exact science, neither is this, but we are attempting to establish a team showcase tournament that includes what the National 175 organizers believe are the strongest programs in the country. Our team showcase is a team event whereby the limited teams invited and attending have been carefully selected. Each of these programs/teams have been recognized as top programs committed to the development of the student athlete and with players seeking to play lacrosse at the collegiate level. Directors: Jim Rogalski, Head Coach Lafayette College; Matt Brancaccio, Head Coach DeSales University. With a new NCAA dead period occurring this year on July 2-6 for Division I, recruiting camps and dates will be affected. The dates for the Leopard Classic offer a great opportunity for recruitment and team travel. Two, side by side turf fields will ensure that we will never have cancellations due to rain. Jim Rogalski

The Philly Summer Showcase will feature elite talent from the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 graduation classes. All players will play on a team coached by an NCAA coach. Players have the opportunity to showcase their skills against the best talent in the country. The elite venue at United Sports will utilize only four fields to maximize exposure. Registration is capped at only 80 players per grad year. The Summer Showcase leads in to the weekend Philly Summer Invitational, which annually attracts more than 100 NCAA coaches. All players who grade well will be invited to the fall Nike Philly Showcase, the nation’s top recruiting event. The November 2015 Nike Philly Showcase attracted more than 230 college coaches and was attended by more than 90 percent of NCAA Division I lacrosse programs.
National 175 Summer Showcase, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 110 8th Street, Troy, NY 12180, July 25-27th, 2016. Welcome to the 5th annual 2016 National 175 Summer Showcase hosted at RPI. This is the premier lacrosse recruiting showcase that provides the platform for the most talented players to showcase their abilities in front of college lacrosse coaches seeking to recruit players from all over the lacrosse community. Based on recommendations from our college coaches and some of the major club team directors we have made a decision to move our Flagship National 175 Summer Showcase 2016 event to the PRIME recruiting dates. The recruiting calendar is always a challenge to maneuver, but with an expected dead period surrounding the July 4th holiday likely to be announced in the coming months it is our belief that the weekends in July will be monopolized by the Club team tournaments and that the individual showcases will be better positioned for college coach and top players attendance in the weekday venues.
