What will you major in/study? “I am interested in studying Economics, with a concentration in entrepreneurship and management at JHU’s Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.”

Why did you choose this school? “I chose Johns Hopkins because of its excellence in academics, long-standing lacrosse tradition, and the major commitment the entire college community places on the sport. I really liked Coach (Dave) Pietramala’s family-first approach and the bond he displays with his players and staff. I am also excited to go to school in Baltimore. It’s a city that is home to a lot of colleges and offers a lot of activities in close proximity to the JHU campus.”

HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “Coming off a Friends League Championship last year and a good run in the Inter-Ac Challenge, the ANC lacrosse program has good momentum but we will be a young team this year. We’re blessed with great coaching and the underclassmen coming up all have really good club experience, so the potential for us to have a good season is there. We know we have to work hard and many of the guys have been working out and participating in pre-season training sessions. Our main goal is to win the Friends Schools League title and contend in the Inter-Ac Challenge. We know we have to focus on the regular season first, one game at a time. We believe if we work hard, be smart and be all in, there are no limits for our team. There is extreme heart within our program and we are hungry for the season to start.”

People to thank: “There are so many people that have helped me get to this point in my lacrosse career. First, I’d like to thank my Travel Team coaches Steve Pinado, Anthony Ventresca and Dave Closterman for teaching me the fundamentals of the game and encouraging me to be aggressive; many thanks to all my Dukes Coaches, especially Ebe Helm and Jason Christmas, who’ve given me a chance to showcase my skills and guided me throughout the recruiting process; and of course, I am so thankful to play for Rob and Jack Forster at ANC. They have helped me so much in a short period of time and I know they will prepare me well to compete at the college level.

“Lastly and certainly not least, I want to thank my family for believing in me and making the sacrifices they have to let me play the game I love.”
