The Brine National Lacrosse Classic Regional tryouts will be held for players that hope to advance to the National event July 19-22, 2016 at the River City Sportsplex in Richmond, Virginia. Teams will be coached by NCAA lacrosse coaches and will compete in a championship style format providing players with a meaningful lifetime experience that will better prepare them to meet the challenges of high school and college.

Clinics

Coach Duck Impact Clinics on Sunday nights (Haverford School gymnasium, 6-7 p.m.) and Wednesday nights (The Agnes Irwin School Gymnasium 6:30-8 p.m.).
Field Players: Elevate your overall play with cutting edge pressure drills Improve your shooting techniques, ride, cutting and defensive play.

strong>Notre Dame/St. Joe’s Prep Youth Lacrosse Clinic for boys and girls on Thursday, March 31 from 3-5 p.m. at Academy of Notre Dame in Villanova. Boys grades 3-8 and girls grades 3-6.

St. Joe’s Prep and Notre Dame are joining forces to host a clinic for youth boys and girls! Come perfect your lacrosse skills in a fun learning environment with the Notre Dame and St. Joe’s prep coaching staff and team. All Participants must bring proper lacrosse equipment, mouthguard and water bottle.

Spring Tournaments

First Annual Irish Invitational girls’ middle school tournament, March 19, at Academy of Notre Dame, 560 Sproul Road, Villanova PA 19085. Varsity Middle School Teams only. Come play in a fun, competitive tournament hosted by Notre Dame’s HS Varsity team. Each team is guaranteed two games. Fee includes a first place and runner-up trophy.

Fees: $200 fee per team. Space is limited. 10 teams max. Please register ASAP.

The Chapter Challenge™, April 30-May 1, a youth lacrosse festival for boys and girls that features good competition and family/team camaraderie on the pristine, picturesque and spacious grounds of the Brandywine Polo Club (Chester County, PA). The event will feature close to 80 teams.
The Chapter Challenge is run by Heritage Lacrosse, which operates Liberty Lacrosse Shootout™, Patriot Games™ and other popular events
The focus is on fun, atmosphere, community and the player/coach/parent experience!

• Support the HEADstring Project): Every year teams accept the “Challenge” and collect used sticks and bring them to the Chapter Challenge to be given new life. The Philadelphia Lacrosse Association (local chapter of US Lacrosse) arranges for sticks to be restrung and donated to support lacrosse in Philadelphia and other lacrosse frontiers, furthering diversity/inclusion in the sport.

Summer Tournaments

The Roundup, by Ultimate Events, June 4-5, at United Sports, Downingtown, PA, for teams in the classes of 2017-23. Highlights: Providing top competition in an environment that will allow the athletes to play their very best while having FUN! Venue has 10 Full Fields all in ONE LOCATION! Jersey Shore Point Showcase, Saturday, June 4, 2016, Manhassett Creek Park in Long Branch, N.J., for Classes of 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020. The Jersey Shore Point Showcase is a new individual one day showcase Players in attendance will receive top notch coaching and instruction led by NCAA Division I, II and III coaches as well as United Lacrosse Directors. Coupled with the instruction from college coaches, The Jersey Shore Point Showcase enables participants to compete at a high level and showcase their skills in a competitive and encouraging environment. The Long Island Lax Fest, by My Lacrosse Tournaments, for boys’ and girls’ teams at Farmingdale State College on June 18-19. The Long Island Lax Fest now in its eighth year has grown into one of the largest events in the country, hosting teams from every major region in the country. The two day event combines a fun festive atmosphere with great lacrosse action. With well over 300 teams expected across 25 brackets in 2016 there’s a spot for any team of any skill level. In addition to the fun, competitive nature of the LI Lax Fest has also has become one of the major recruiting events of the North East, with over 150 college coaches in attendance last year.
The Lax Fest features two days of games for boys (four games guaranteed plus playoffs) and one day (Saturday) for girls (four games guaranteed plus playoffs)

Project 120, by Ultimate Events, at Lehigh University, June 24-26, “Project 120” is a team tournament (2017-2023) that will give back to a non-profit or cause every year. A DIRECT PERCENTAGE of your registration fee will go towards a “project” that is benefiting the community. You will NOT have to do any additional fundraising as part of your entrance into the tournament. Your support will directly offer a positive impact! The 4th annual Hershey Lacrosse Shootout for boys’ and girls’ teams, July 16th & 17th at In the Net Sports Complex in Palmyra, PA. By My Lacrosse Tournaments. This tournament has become a fast favorite on our summer circuit of events. Teams from all over the northeast travel to participant in an action packed weekend. With over 65 teams expected to attend in 2016, this event provides high quality lacrosse and family fun just miles from Hersheypark, one of the top rated amusement parks in the country. All games in this 2-day championship tourney event will take place at In the Net Sports complex (798 Airport Rd. Palmyra, PA 17078). Each team has four games guaranteed and all teams qualify for the playoffs.

2016 Navy Girls Lacrosse Camp
Navy Women’s Lacrosse Camps are designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game, as well as team concepts in a fun, educational and confidence building environment. It is a chance to learn sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork. It is also a great
opportunity to meet other young lacrosse players and experience different coaching techniques from some of the best coaches in the
nation.
The Elite Gold Clinic will include full field scrimmages, an evening program on Wed night and prizes! This clinic allows you the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in the country! This is a two-day clinic. Overnight accommodations are not provided. A list of local hotels is available.
NAVY YOUTH DAY CLINIC -Session I: June 20-21, 2016; Session II: June 22-23, 2016; 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; 5 years to 12 years of age
One Session – $175; Both Sessions – $325
This clinic is specifically designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game: throwing, catching, shooting, ground balls, offensive and defensive skills, feeding and confidence level improvement, in a fun and educational atmosphere. Goalie instruction will be offered.
NAVY OPEN BLUE CAMP: July 5-7, 2016; Rising sixth-, seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders; Cost: $560
This overnight camp is designed for players of all ability levels.There is a strong emphasis on mastering skills as well as moving on to more advanced parts of the game. Sessions will focus on individual skills, team concepts and full field play. Campers will be divided by age and skill level in order to provide the appropriate learning environment. NAVY ELITE GOLD CLINIC; June 15-16; Rising high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors; Cost: $415
This is a high intensity, action packed two-day clinic for the Elite player who aspires to compete at the collegiate level. Sessions
will include drills with an emphasis on mastery of individual skills as well as creativity in stickwork and shooting. Players will focus
on perfecting offensive strategies and high pressure defensive schemes. The Navy Lacrosse Goalie School will be run by former US National Team Player, Meg Huether.

United Lacrosse Super Camps for girls. (all ages) in June and July at Manahassett Creek Park in Long Branch, N.J. Week 1 June 27-July 1 (M-F 9am-1pm); Week 2 July 25-July 29 (M-F 9am-1pm), for players of all levels, K-12.

The 6th Annual HEADstrong Foundation Lime Light Gala, Friday March 11, at the Hilton Penn’s Landing, This special event has been recognized as one of the most inspirational events in the city of Philadelphia recognizing groundbreaking achievements in research, stories of hope, survivorship and remembering those who have lost their fight, in effort to improve quality of life for families affected by cancer. The event will be held at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing located at 201 South Columbus Boulevard from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets are now available for $250 each with special pricing for tables of 10 and guests ages 15 -20. The black-tie optional event will include a five-star silent auction, a delicious dinner, featuring a special live performance, an award presentation followed by dancing to the music of world-class entertainment by Jellyroll celebrating the life and legacy of HF Founder Nicholas “HEAD” Colleluori.
This year, television personality, comedian, game show host, producer and talk show host, Marc Summers, best known for hosting the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare, Unwrapped on Food Network, and is currently the executive producer of Restaurant: Impossible will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
Additionally, long-time voice of the Philadelphia Flyers, recording artist, TV and film composer Lauren Hart as well as voice of the Philadelphia Eagles, recording artist, songwriter and pianist Jessy Kyle will co-chair the event.
The 6th Annual Lime Light Gala will honor Edward A. Stadtmauer, MD who serves as Chief of Hematologic Malignancies and Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Lauren Shermer will share her inspirational story as she is presented with the prestigious Nicholas E. Colleluori Award. The award is presenting annually to a survivor demonstrating heroics and perseverance in the fight against cancer.
Proceeds from the Lime Light Gala will support the expansion of Nick’s House™, a facility operated by the HEADstrong Foundation™ which provides complimentary extended lodging to families traveling to Philadelphia for cancer related treatment as well as the Nicholas E. Colleluori Lymphoma Research Fund at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania under the direction of Stephen J. Schuster, MD.
