Head Coach: Katie Bergstrom Mark, 14 years as Head Coach
Last year’s record: 17-6, (won league semi-finals)
Key returnees: Sunny Reardon (Attack), Maddy Berg (will lead the Defense), Isabel Schmidt (moving from Defense to Midfield), Sophie Smith (will return to Midfield), Corin Grady will return for second year in goal after a stellar freshman campaign as GK.
Coach’s Outlook for 2016: “Our well-balanced senior leadership, in unison with our fresh influx of players new to the squad, will make GFS competitive for the 2016 season.
“Sophomores Celia Meyer and Lindsey Golden will bring energy to our transition.
“Defenders Abigail Gard, Jess Newberg, Allie Lipshutz, Priyanka Jain, Marlie Golden, and newcomer from Varsity Soccer Riley Knowles, will anchor our Defense.
“On Attack we have a whole new look, with contributions from Livy Pinover, Jane MacRae, Natalie Harrity, Gabby Schwartz and Daisy Lentz.
“We are looking forward to development in newcomers Sanaa DeBose, Sarah Levin, and Zoe Smith.
“We are excited to compete in the Friends Schools League season and beyond!”

Key Returnees: Emily Dodds (Sr. Midfield, 2015 FSL Honorable Mention), Claire Murphy (Sr. Defense), Maddie Barth (Jr. Attack, 2015 FSL 1st team), Sarah Cassway (Jr. Attack)
Watch For: Freshman Cate Cappuccio (Midfield, Attack), Freshman Emilie Blumenfeld (Midfield, Defense)
Coach’s Outlook for 2016: “No seniors graduated last year so we’re looking to take advantage of a strong foundation of players to continue building the girls lacrosse program at Westtown.”
