Julia Ryan, Attack (2015 USL Academic All American, Temple University recruit), Taylor Lis, Midfield (2015 USL Academic All American, Cornell University recruit), Gabrielle Deitsch, Defense (Vassar College soccer recruit), & Kylie Sekelsky
Juniors: Gwen Koehler (Defense), Georgia McLean (Midfield), Olivia Geller (Attack), Olivia Skopas (Defense)
Sophomores: Abaigeal Ryan (Midfield) & Margaret Jacobs (Attack)
Freshmen Newcomers: Mariana Lopez-Ona (Attack) & Serena Bolitho (Defense)
Coach’s Outlook for 2016: “Very young, but athletic team that will work hard all season to improve. Hoping to be competitive with the more seasoned teams in the conference.”
Haddonfield Memorial High School
League: Olympic Conference- National Division
Head Coach: Jessica Blake, 8th year as head coach (8th year as Varsity program)
Last year’s record: 11-8, 3rd in conference, Lost in Quarterfinals of playoffs
Key returnees:
Meghan Smart- Key midfielder, very strong on both ends of the field
Katie Pileggi- Powerful attacker, will play midfield and add to the defensive unit, leading goal scorer from 2015 season.
Coach’s Outlook for 2016: “I think we have a very strong, well balanced team. We are returning a lot of players from last years young team and have an excellent group of freshman to add to the mix. I am excited for this season and think we will be a contender for the conference and SJ Group 2 title.”
