Prospect Days
Widener University Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Clinic & University Open House, Saturday, Jan. 20. The event is for boys in grades 9 to 12 and will start at the Schwartz Athletic Center, One University Pl, Chester, PA, 19013. It will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Widener Men’s Lacrosse Prospect day is designed to give players the opportunity to
experience a collegiate training session, tour the University, and meet the coaches, staff and
players within the program. Attending the prospect day gives players a better understanding of what Widener University has to offer, both on and off the field.

St. Joseph’s Fly with the Hawks Elite Camp, for Classes of 2019, 2020 & 2021, Feb. 4 and July 24, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Fly With The Hawks Elite Prospect Day is designed for elite 2018, 2019 and 2020 players that we have seen play and/or who have a strong interest in Saint Joseph’s University. This camp will provide high level instruction from the SJU staff and players while giving participants the opportunity to showcase their ability against top level competition. The camp will include a presentation segment designed to give insight into the life of a college lacrosse player, an overview of the SJU program and helpful information about the recruiting process. We also include a Q&A session with current players. On the field we focus instruction on fundamentals, position work, and competitive simulations. We expose players to the same drills we run during our practice sessions. Our hope is that you leave Hawk Hill having improved your game and with greater understanding of what it takes to play at the college level. West Chester Lacrosse Association Winter Skills at Westtown School. The sessions will be led by West Chester Directors of Lacrosse Dan Deckelbaum and Amanda Gionfriddo. There will be a player to coach ratio of 8-1 or less and players will get individual instruction at each session. Each session will focus on players improving lacrosse technique through high repetitions and having fun in competitive drills and games. Every session will include high level instruction as well as teaching fundamentals depending on players age and experience level. The skills clinics are a skill progression based program and each player will improve lacrosse IQ, in a fun, safe environment.

1st Start Lacrosse is a program where the basics to the game are broken down and taught in a fun and exciting environment. It’s for children, boys and girls, ages 4-7 and it will be coached by all former players now educators in the Philly area who have an extreme passion for the game. 1st Start features a 6-week program on Sundays starting January 14 where each session will be 60 minutes long.
1st Start STARTer sticks will be provided at every session along with a 1st Start STARTer pack, where each child will receive a 1st Start T-Shirt, Sweatband, and Sticker!
There will be 3 different 1st Start locations this winter. Episcopal Academy, Swarthmore College, and the All Sports Center in Collegeville!

Philly Face-Off League at Ampro Sports. In order to be a part of the league you must have at least one year of experience facing-off at a high level for your school or club team. This is an IDEAL clinic for face-off guys who want to compete against other quality face-off players for 90 minutes while receiving individualized instruction. The Philly Face-Off League is run by John Bodnar and Mike Dolente. They both have an extensive background in working with some of the best face-off guys in the area and are asking for more guys to compete.

These fast-paced sessions will be split into two halves, combining high-level coaching of technique and movement through specific drills with high-rep live shots, all under the watchful eye of our knowledgable goalie-specific coaches! Every 2nd week, a 2nd hour is added for a “Shoot & Save” session, where our goalies are paired with small groups of peer shooters in controlled live play to put their work into action and stay sharp. Sessions will run all 4 Sundays in January from 9-10am or 9-11am at the Academy Sports Complex indoor facility off of Rt. 30 in Coatesville. The 4-week program costs $215. Winter Faceoff and Shooting Clinics, Saturdays, 9-10:30 a.m. at Main Line Sports Center, Berwyn. This winter one of the area’s best shooting coaches Matt Mackrides of Blue Ox Lacrosse is teaming up with one of the best faceoff coaches John Bodnar of the Philly Faceoff League to give faceoff midfielders the ultimate 90 minutes of faceoff and shooting training every Saturday morning for 6 weeks starting December 2 at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. The class will be capped at 30 players. 45 minutes of intense shooting drills with Coach Mackrides, and 45 minutes of faceoff training with Coach Bodnar. All ages are welcome to register. Groups will be split by age and skill level. Another option to this program is if you would like to just do 1 of the 2 options for 90 minutes. If you feel like shooting for 90 minutes with Coach Mackrides that day or working on faceoffs with Coach Bodnar for 90 minutes you are more than welcome to choose that option. The clinics will always be on Saturday Mornings from 9-10:30 AM at Main Line Sports Center.

NXT Lacrosse Academy (NLA), a premier winter training program at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. This winter will feature January and February sessions led by NXT girls’ and boys’ program directors Kate Henwood and P.T. Ricci. Henwood and Ricci will be accompanied by an elite group of coaches executing advanced, position specific, fast-paced training in small-group settings.
The NLA curriculum incorporates the latest training methods from Division I lacrosse. The girls NLA begins January 6th, and runs for 120 minutes. Past girls sessions have sold out at 100 players per session.
Beginning on January 7, 2018, The boys NLA will take place on Sundays for two hours with the first 30 minutes taking place in the classroom. The classroom portion will cover college level film breakdown, white board time, goal setting and a detailed breakdown of the skills and drills to be covered.
The NLA will be position specific for the first hour of field training, and will conclude with 30 minutes of small-sided drills designed to test the skills learned.
For the first time ever NXT will also offer a separate “Committed” winter session for high school boys who are currently committed to a college program. The “Committed” is meant to be for the best local players who desire to improve and compete against the areas best, and build’s off the success of NXT’s summer-only girls committed training sessions. Players in the graduation years of 2022-2024 will train from 12:30-2:30pm, 2021-2018 grad year players will train from 2-4pm, and high school Committed training from 3-5pm.

NXTsports Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League, Proving Grounds facility in Conshohocken, PA. The 2018 Boys League will feature over 50 teams in competition. Teams will play eight league games on four weekends in March, April, and May. They will play two games per league weekend in order to minimize travel and conflicts. New in 2018 is the addition of a championship round in each division, the championship games will be played under the lights in May on the week leading up to Memorial Day Weekend.
The 2018 Boys Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League will feature divisions for players in the 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 graduation years.
Boys teams committed to the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League include:

Run With The Best Individual Showcase, Stony Brook University, NY. June 2, High School Boys, Grad years 2019-2022. Run with the Best Lacrosse Showcase is one of the first individual lacrosse recruiting showcases of the summer season. This event is open to all rising freshman (2022), sophomores (2021), juniors (2020) and seniors (2019). Individuals will be placed on a team and all teams are coached by college coaches in attendance. Last year colleges from D1, D2 and D3 programs attended to recruit future college players.

Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse Invitational on July 9-11, at Caravel Academy in Bear, DE. The event, run by the Lax Federation, will feature 48 Teams on six fields and over 65 college coaches. Located on the beautiful Caravel Academy campus in Delaware. It is a short drive from Philadelphia, Baltimore and the East Coast Beaches. The LAX FED Mid Atlantic Invitational is a highly competitive 3-day tournament for high school aged teams. 60+ college coaches are on staff to make it a top recruiting event of the summer.
Each team is guaranteed five games over three days. Games begin on Monday July 9 at noon or later and end Wednesday July 11 in the afternoon. Game video for all 5 games will be included for all teams!
All-Star teams will be selected for 2019, 2020, 2021/22 graduation years. They will compete on Tuesday afternoon following our skills competition presented by Epoch Lacrosse.
Epoch Lacrosse, Lax AllStars, and ConnectLAX will be on site for the entire three days catching all the action and taking interviews from coaches, players, and spectators.

Divisions: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022. This small, invite-only lacrosse tournament is for the top lacrosse club programs in the country. The APEX Summer Invitational will feature teams from all over the county in a 2-day event. Each team will play 3 games on Tuesday, followed by 1 game on Wednesday leading into the playoffs. All teams will be guaranteed 5 games. This format allows for all teams to have a great schedule and evenly-matched games. On Tuesday evening an All-Star Game will be held under the lights in the Stadium.

The Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 nominations are being accepted for the event on July 11-12 at the DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, DE. For high school boys and girls graduating in 2020, 2021 & 2022 and committed players in the classes of 2018 and 2019. The Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 is geared to maximize athletic recruiting opportunities for athletes and NCAA lacrosse coaches. Entering its third year, the summer Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 brings together a diverse pool of players that want to supplement their club team participation with an individual showcase that is highly regarded to be one of the best – by collegiate level lacrosse coaches.
Whether you’re uncommitted or committed to attend the college of your choice, the National Prospect Elite 80 is your chance to play with and against other 2020, 2021 and 2022 top-tier players in nation this summer.

Only 80 players in each graduation year will be selected to attend and this is your chance to be included in the national player Watch List. Submit your nomination application online. There’s no fee to nominate a player and anyone can do it.
Player nominations are evaluated and scored based on completeness of the online nomination form or coach referral by a panel comprised of individuals that are committed to helping others through academic, athletic and community initiatives.

The USSSA 2018 National Lacrosse Classic and National Lacrosse Academy, by Legacy Global and , will be held on July 16-19 at the Delaware Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, DE.
The 11th annual event brings together the finest players and coaches July 16-19, 2018 in an event offering extreme competition, exposure to the next level of the sport and an Olympic-style lacrosse experience for every player.
Regional team qualifiers are scheduled throughout the country for all players.
