BaggataGirls™ Winter Clinics for girls at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. Please visit www.baggatagirlslacrosse.com to see the schedules posted for youth (typically Grades K-4), middle school (Grades 5-8) and high school (Grades 9-12) sessions through February. You can register to attend all sessions or tailor a per diem schedule that works. Space is limited.
BaggataGirls™ clinics teach the skills of lacrosse using novel drills, games, concepts and language players can understand, relate to and retain – all in a fast-paced, high energy and supportive setting.

Youth clinics

1st Start Lacrosse is a program where the basics to the game are broken down and taught in a fun and exciting environment. It’s for children, boys and girls, ages 4-7 and it will be coached by all former players now educators in the Philly area who have an extreme passion for the game. 1st Start features a 6-week program on Sundays starting January 14 where each session will be 60 minutes long.
1st Start STARTer sticks will be provided at every session along with a 1st Start STARTer pack, where each child will receive a 1st Start T-Shirt, Sweatband, and Sticker!
There will be 3 different 1st Start locations this winter. Episcopal Academy, Swarthmore College, and the All Sports Center in Collegeville!

West Chester Lacrosse Association Winter Skills at Westtown School. The sessions will be led by West Chester Directors of Lacrosse Dan Deckelbaum and Amanda Gionfriddo. Each session will focus on players improving lacrosse technique through high repetitions and having fun in competitive drills and games. Every session will include high level instruction as well as teaching fundamentals depending on players age and experience level. The skills clinics are a skill progression based program and each player will improve lacrosse IQ, in a fun, safe environment.

Princeton Winter Lacrosse League, by Ultimate Events, on Jan. 6 – Feb. 25. The league will last 8 weeks and be held at Princeton University, Powers Field, Princeton, NJ.
The league offers:
-All games will be played under their brand new climate controlled bubble
-Varsity Division for 12v12
-Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School (7/8th grade) Division for 7v7

Winter Tournaments

The 2nd Annual Gait Heritage Girls Winter Classic, a 5v5 girls’ lacrosse clinic and tournament on Monday, January 15th (MLK Day) at Maplezone Sports Institute in Aston, PA. The event, presented by Heritage Lacrosse, will feature player clinic sessions conducted by Gary Gait, Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Syracuse University – perhaps the mostly highly credentialed player/coach in the sport, followed by a competitive 5v5 tournament played in a championship format.
Space in this exclusive event is limited and is expected to fill up fast. Click here to register.
Format/Highlights:
• Youth, middle school and high school players, clubs and teams.
• 5v5 half-court play (4 field players and a goalie); 6 field players/team minimum; 9 field players/team maximum.
• 3-station field player clinic (and goalie clinic) will precede tournament play.
• Team coaches are welcome to attend demonstration of Canadian skills and box lacrosse concepts that translate well to the 5v5 format and field game.
• Multiple 12 minutes games.

Training

NXT Lacrosse Academy (NLA), a premier winter training program at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. This winter will feature January and February sessions led by NXT girls’ and boys’ program directors Kate Henwood and P.T. Ricci. Henwood and Ricci will be accompanied by an elite group of coaches executing advanced, position specific, fast-paced training in small-group settings.
The NLA curriculum incorporates the latest training methods from Division I lacrosse. The girls NLA begins January 6th, and runs for 120 minutes. Past girls sessions have sold out at 100 players per session.
Beginning on January 7, 2018, The boys NLA will take place on Sundays for two hours with the first 30 minutes taking place in the classroom. The classroom portion will cover college level film breakdown, white board time, goal setting and a detailed breakdown of the skills and drills to be covered.
The NLA will be position specific for the first hour of field training, and will conclude with 30 minutes of small-sided drills designed to test the skills learned.
For the first time ever NXT will also offer a separate “Committed” winter session for high school boys who are currently committed to a college program. The “Committed” is meant to be for the best local players who desire to improve and compete against the areas best, and build’s off the success of NXT’s summer-only girls committed training sessions. Players in the graduation years of 2022-2024 will train from 12:30-2:30pm, 2021-2018 grad year players will train from 2-4pm, and high school Committed training from 3-5pm.
Those interested in learning more about the NXT Lacrosse Academy can read more about it here. Any player wishing to participate must apply here. The two- step registration process exists to ensure the correct amount of elite players are enrolled in each position at each age group.

Winter college camps

Duke women’s lacrosse program’s Winter Camp offerings, slated for Dec. 27-29 in Durham. The Duke Winter Camp, the Duke Goalie School and Junior Blue Devil Winter Camp will all be held on the West Campus Athletic Campus, which includes the West Campus turf field and two full size grass practice fields.

POWER 5 Lacrosse: Experience + Exposure Florida 2018 camp Jan 6-7 at the University of Central Florida Athletic Complex in Orlando. The event features many big name coaches, and a large group with Philly ties, including Cindy Timchal (Navy, Haverford High), Amy Bokker (Stanford, Phoenixville) and Gabby Capuzzi (Navy assistant, Archbishop Carroll).
Grad Years: 2018 – 2023. Includes 4 Sessions: 2 on Saturday (1-8pm) and 2 on Sunday (8am – 1pm)

The directors of the Power 5 have assembled a staff of WORLD-CLASS COACHES from the best programs in the country to ensure an epic event like no other. The Power 5 Experience + Exposure Camp promises to provide a unique opportunity for our athletes to get exceptional experience with and exposure to an amazing group of Power 5 Coaches. Players will get first-hand experience of what it takes to get to the next level in a training camp atmosphere with direct instruction from DI coaches from Power 5 Conferences.
Two days of intense and fun-filled sessions, all include player-enhancing stick work drills incorporating competitive games; Special skills sessions for shooting, defending, and lax IQ for attack and defense. (GK’s will get additional specialized training.); Two game sessions, one each day, to showcase while being coached by D1 coaches; Gauranteed Exposure to every coach at the camp; Power 5 Swag Kit, including team jersey, shorts and long-sleeve performance tee; Committed and Uncommitted Players are welcome.

Spring League

NXT Girls Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League at Conshohocken Proving Grounds. Each competing team will play eight games on four weekend dates in April and May. Like the Boys League, the Girls League will also feature a Championship Round in May for the top two teams in each division!
The Girls Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League looks to support the play and growth of competitive lacrosse at the youth levels by providing options to girls and teams seeking a competitive atmosphere!
The 2018 Girls Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League will feature divisions for players in the 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 graduation years.
Girls teams committed to the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League include:
HHH, Uprising, NXT, T3, DEWLAX, XTREME, Comanche Lax, Pure Lacrosse (MD), Belles Lacrosse, & Mesa.
The Mid-Atlantic Lacrosse League is currently at 85% capacity. Registrations for the final spots will be accepted up until January 15 (or until full). If you are interested or have additional questions, please contact Amanda Kammes, at Amanda.kammes@nxtsports.com.

Summer Showcases

The Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 nominations are being accepted for the event on July 11-12 at the DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, DE. For high school boys and girls graduating in 2020, 2021 & 2022. The Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 is geared to maximize athletic recruiting opportunities for athletes and NCAA lacrosse coaches. Entering its third year, the summer Cascade National Prospect Elite 80 brings together a diverse pool of players that want to supplement their club team participation with an individual showcase that is highly regarded to be one of the best – by collegiate level lacrosse coaches.
Whether you’re uncommitted or committed to attend the college of your choice, the National Prospect Elite 80 is your chance to play with and against other 2020, 2021 and 2022 top-tier players in nation this summer.

Only 80 players in each graduation year will be selected to attend and this is your chance to be included in the national player Watch List. Submit your nomination application online. There’s no fee to nominate a player and anyone can do it.
Player nominations are evaluated and scored based on completeness of the online nomination form or coach referral by a panel comprised of individuals that are committed to helping others through academic, athletic and community initiatives.
