Olivia Little scored with 3:46 to play, lifting Springfield-Delco to a 13-12 victory Saturday over Wilson in the PIAA District 1 Class AAA girls’ quarterfinals at West Chester East.
The win advanced the Cougars into the semifinals Tuesday against District 3 champion Manheim Township at Exeter High’s Don Thomas Stadium at 7 p.m.
Little finished with four goals, three assists and six draw controls while Dana Carlson and Belle Mastropietro each scored three goals and Julie Shickling had a pair.
Wilson had tied the game at 12-12 with three consecutive goals during a 4-minute spurt.
Kendall Duffy scored five goals and Emily Magliotti added four for Wilson.
Garnet Valley 17, Parkland 7
Kamryn McNeal (four goals, two assists), Regan Nealon (four goals, one assist), Riley Delaney (three goals, one assist), Madi McKee (two goals, two assists, 11 draw controls) and Kathryn Toohey (two goals, three draws) led the Jaguars.
Garnet Valley will meet Unionville in the semifinals Tuesday at a site and time to be determined.
Camryn Barnett had three goals and Mackenzie Roth and Jill Bushinsky each had two for Parkland.
Manheim Township 14, State College 10
Maris Large had five goals and an assist, Lucy Svetec had four goals and an assist and while Lizzy McBride added three goals and two assists to help the Blue Streaks (24-1) advance to the semifinal match with Springfield-Delco.
Class AA – Villa Maria Academy 9, Penncrest 8
The Hurricanes held off a late Penncrest rally, advancing to meet Radnor in the semifinals Tuesday at a site and time to be determined.
Villa Maria led, 9-5, until Penncrest scored three late goals.
Paige DeMutis had two goals and an assist for the Hurricanes while Erin Finley scored twice and Abby Walheim (10 draws), Hannah Young and Bridget Finley each had a goal and an assist. Maddie Medve also was key with 10 saves.
Grace Harding, Carly Baillis and Julianna George each scored twice for Penncrest.
