Clinic details: Tucker Durkin is teaming up with Niko Amato, Jack Forster, Rob Forster and the rest of the ANC and Dukes Young Guns Coaching Staff for a unique position specific instructional clinic. The clinic will provide each athlete with a defined list of drills they can and should utilize in their offseason training programs in preparation for the spring!

The Hawks Holiday Clinics, by St. Joseph’s University men’s lacrosse, for youth shooters, defenders and goalies on December 30 at Maple Zone Sports Institute at 1451 Conchester Hwy, Garnet Valley, PA. Ages: K-8th Grade (Players of all experience levels are welcome). Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

DESCRIPTION: The Hawks Holiday Clinics give young lacrosse players the opportunity to develop their fundamentals and help build better lacrosse IQ. This will give them the necessary tools to be a more complete player going forward into the spring season. Whether your son plays goalie, defense, midfield or attack, they will have the opportunity to learn firsthand from a Division 1 coaching staff what it takes to be a well-rounded player. This will be a fantastic, learning intensive clinic so don’t miss your chance to participate!
HOLIDAY SHOOTER CAMP: This clinic will focus on teaching and developing the different fundamental movements of shooting; catch and shoot, hitch and go, shooting on the run, inside shooting, and more! The goal is to provide each clinic participant a substantial number of repetitions and attention from the Saint Joseph’s University coaching staff.
DOMINATING DEFENSE AND GOALIES: Here we build each camper from the ground up. Starting with the basics of stance, footwork, angles and mobility, we then progress to stick-work, ground ball play, outlets and proper communication. If you want to dominate the defensive end this spring – this clinic is for you!

Winter Youth Developmental Clinics

Cradle Lacrosse introductory lacrosse program, for boys and girls ages 4-8, hosted at Episcopal Academy, Garnet Valley, Main Line Sports Center, Fruends Select and Germantown Friends. Cradle Lacrosse is the ultimate introduction to lacrosse. Our Friends Select program is 6 weeks long and will teach skills through our structured curriculum progression. We have a passionate staff that is excited to have fun teaching the fundamentals.

College/Prospect Clinics

Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse Prospect ID Clinic, Dec. 5. Time: 1-5PM (Check in 12:15 PM), for 2018’s and 2019’s. About the Clinics: These clinics are designed for elite level high school players (class of ’18 & ’19). It will allow for the athlete to compete against top level competition while working with the Lehigh coaching staff and players. The day will start with small group positional skill work and progress into full field games. This is an ideal setting for the athletes to showcase their skill, athleticism and knowledge of lacrosse to the Lehigh coaching staff. The clinic experience allows for the athlete to experience Lehigh University.

The Fly with the Hawks Elite Camp for boys in the Classes of 2016 to 2019 at St. Joseph’s University. Ages: High School Class of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. When: December 6, 9am-3pm

DESCRIPTION: Fly With The Hawks is designed for elite high school players who aspire to play at the college level and have a specific interest in Saint Joseph’s University. This camp will provide high level instruction from the SJU staff and players while giving participants the opportunity to showcase their ability against top level competition. The camp will include a presentation segment designed to give insight into the life of a college lacrosse player, an overview of the SJU program and helpful information about the recruiting process. We also include a Q&A session with current players. On the field we focus instruction on fundamentals, position work, and competitive simulations. We expose player to the same drills we run during our practice sessions. Our hope is that you leave Hawk Hill having improved your game and with greater understanding of what it takes to play at the college level. Lunch is provided for all players and after the conclusion of camp we offer a complete campus tour.

Face-Off Leagues

Duke’s Lacrosse Club Faceoff Days, a weekly Fall clinic series open to all boys in grade 3 through 12 at Shipley School Lower Field, Bryn Mawr PA. The clinics will be directed by new Duke’s Face-Off Director and Young Guns assistant coach Mike Poppleton, an MLL standout and member of the US National Training Team. The clinics will be held on eight Saturdays at Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn beginning Oct. 17. Each Duke Lacrosse faceoff Day will consist of technique along with a substantial amount of time spent on live face-offs. Every Saturday the draw day will start with a normal face-off warm up, dive in deeper with one specific face-off technique (footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, shooting), and will finish with live face-offs and a king of hill.
When: Oct 17th, Oct 24th, Nov 7th, Nov 14th, Nov 21st, Nov 28th, Dec 5th, Dec 12th. Times: All sessions 10-11:30 am. Duke’s Draw Days are for players of all Ages and Skill Level. The Philly Face-Off League, Winter Skills clinics on Tuesday afternoons starting December 1st and its normal Sunday FO sessions starting December 22nd, at Main Line Sports in Berwyn.
PFL
This 6-week program will be for players who want to practice and focus on all aspects of the face-off position. Technique Work, Shooting, Stick work, Live Wing-Play, Defense, and Live Situational Play will all be covered.
Throughout the 6 weeks there will also be different guest speakers who will come in to give their expertise on other areas of your game that you should be focusing on as well!
The Winter Skills face-off clinics on Tuesday afternoons (12/1-1/5) from 5-6:30 PM is open for players in 5-12th grade. PFL Sundays will return on Sunday, December 22nd. It will be for 9 weeks and will run from 6:30-8 PM every Sunday at the Main Line Sports Center. During the fall over 75 different high school face-off players (25 already committed D1) participated regularly in the Philly Face-Off League. The PFL is a club where starting face-off players for their respective school or club teams can meet once a week to not only practice their skills against each other, but receive coaching as well.
In order to be a part of our PFL Sundays you must have at least one year of experience facing-off at a high level for your school or club team. This league is not for beginners. Youth Leagues

NXTLeagues’ Mid-Atlantic Spring Lacrosse League, for boys’ club teams in grades 3-8, for spring of 2016. This year, the league looks to grow as it continues to feature the best youth club teams in the Mid-Atlantic region with teams from as far north as Connecticut and as far south as Northern Virginia expressing serious interest. Elite competition is found in both the A and AA divisions. Applications are open for the league, which is played exclusively on Sundays from March 20-May 15 at various top facilities in the Greater Philadelphia area. The cost is $2,300 per team with a $500 deposit due Dec. 1. Team applications must be filled out here.
The league will feature divisions in grades 3-8 and games are comprised of four 12-minute quarters with modified FIL rules to promote fast play and competition. There are two certified referees and one game coordinator per game, with one certified athletic trainer and one NXT representative per site.

Box Leagues

Bucksmont Winter Box League, Fusion operated and US Box Lacrosse Certified, entering its third year. Fusion’s winter Box League has proven to be one of the best, if not the best way your team can train over the winter months. Two weeks of instruction are followed by an 8-week league culminating with a last day tournament and championship. Details:
Dates: Dec 6th- Feb 28th (Sunday mornings between 7:30am-12pm); Location: Bucksmont Indoor Sports Center (Hatfield Pa)
Divisions: 5/6 combined (6 teams), 2021 (6 teams), 2020 (6 teams); Gameplay:< 3, 16 minute periods. Timeouts and time serving penalties in play. Referees: US Box Lacrosse Certified referees and rulebook. We provide the most experienced staff in the area led by Paul Kubach. Format: 2-weeks of instruction followed by 8 weeks of league games. Two weeks of instruction is critical for safety, rules, offensive and defensive sets in what is still a relatively new version of the game for many teams and players. Coaches are encouraged to join our staff on the floor for these sessions.
Cost: $2200 per team *500 deposit necessary to secure your spot. *There will also be a $45 US Box insurance Fee per player.
