Villa Maria Academy 2017 midfielder Audrey Fantazzia has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Why did you choose this school? “UMass has a great lacrosse program. I felt an instant connection with Coach (Angela) McMahon and all the coaches, as well as the lacrosse team. I am excited to compete at the highest level in a couple years. The campus and the area of Amherst is beautiful. Academically, it was a great fit and there are many majors to choose from.”
HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “We lost a few seniors from last year, but have strong returning players, and I think we will be very competitive in our league. I am very excited to play for our new coach, Coach Huntsman.”
