Tryouts – Brine NLC

The Brine National Lacrosse Classic Regional tryouts will be held for players that hope to advance to the National event July 19-22, 2016 at the River City Sportsplex in Richmond, Virginia. Teams will be coached by NCAA lacrosse coaches and will compete in a championship style format providing players with a meaningful lifetime experience that will better prepare them to meet the challenges of high school and college.

College Experience Lacrosse instructional clinics, focused on individual and positional skills, and exposing athletes to high level coaching for boys and girls. This winter College Experience Lacrosse be will be hosting two events on December 20. These will be indoors at the fantastic Forekicks centers in Taunton, MA and in Marlboro, MA. The clinics incorporate a complete college practice, followed by a full scrimmage. The clinics are limited to just 80 athletes per session to ensure the maximum learning opportunities and exposure to our Division 1 staff. College Experience is committed to improving the athlete’s skills, positional concepts and lacrosse IQ to give you that edge you need.
We have taken our clinic and partnered with some fantastic college women’s lacrosse coaches to run an event on December 20th, in Marlboro, MA. The clinic will feature 90 minutes of instruction followed by 2 hours of scrimmage time. Our staff features coaches who are excited about the opportunity to get to coach you in small group drills and then help you apply them in a game setting. This will allow you, as a player, to learn from and showcase yourself to some of the best coaches in the game.

BaggataGirls™ clinics teach the skills of lacrosse using novel drills, concepts and language players can understand, relate to and retain – all in a fast-paced, high energy and supportive setting. The program is not affiliated with any club or school team, anyone can register.
The agenda: • To teach girls the FUNdamentals, but with a Flair… We stress traditional staples but explore what is possible with the stick and a ball; • To transfer knowledge, maximize touches and prepare players to thrive in the style of play that has emerged in girls’ lacrosse; • To promote ambidexterity and technique, expanding and strengthening each girl’s overall skill set, regardless of player position; • To help the girls advance at an accelerated rate in a condensed time frame; • To instill confidence and a passion for the game.

Ultimate Development Program (UDP), an 8-week intensive curriculum of skill & game play breakdown for youth girls lacrosse players in classes 2023-2027 at The Agnes Irwin School.The focus is to provide an environment of interactive learning. Players will have the opportunity to work individually and collectively on all areas of the game and experience competitive play as well. Coaches will provide additional inter-squad scrimmages throughout the session to enhance the lax IQ of each player. The program is headed by Agnes Irwin and Ultimate coach Jen Duckenfield, as well as Maggie Forker, Alex Duckenfield, Stephanie McNesby and Jen Raech.
Dates: All Sundays from 9:30am-11:00am; January 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 & February 7, 14, 21

NXTsports’ free NXT Field Day, Jan. 18, 2016 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Main Line Sports Center and feature NXTsoccer, Cradle Lacrosse, NXT LC Boys and Girls, SPARK Field Hockey, NXTfieldhockey, speed and agility training and NXTolympics. NXT Field Day’s mission is to expose all of NXT’s sports education programs to boys and girls ages 4-15. There will also be a moon bounce, a fastest shot competition and prizes and games throughout the day. NXT’s entire education staff will be on site, as will guest coaches. NXT partners Gatorade, Premier Orthopaedics and Alex’s Lemonade Stand will be a part of the NXT Field Day. Winter Youth Developmental Clinics

Cradle Lacrosse introductory lacrosse program, for boys and girls ages 4-8, hosted at Episcopal Academy, Garnet Valley, Main Line Sports Center, Fruends Select and Germantown Friends. Cradle Lacrosse is the ultimate introduction to lacrosse. Our Friends Select program is 6 weeks long and will teach skills through our structured curriculum progression. We have a passionate staff that is excited to have fun teaching the fundamentals.

Showcase tournaments

Frozen 150 Girls Lacrosse Showcase, Jan. 2 for Mid-Atlantic players in the Classes of 2017, 2018 and 2019 at the Fredericksburg Field House in Frederickbsurg, Va. This one-day event will give the Top Freshman, Sophomore, and Juniors players (2017, 2018, & 2019) in the country an opportunity to demonstrate their talents in front of premier college lacrosse programs while learning new techniques/skills that they can apply to their game.
The Frozen 150 Showcase is centered around three main components: Recruiting Q & A Panel with D1, D2, D3 coaches; Instructional Player Clinic with College Coaches from top Div 1 Schools; Committed College Coach Clinicians For 2016 (Updated weekly); 7v7 Showcase Games
The list of committed college coach clinicians for 2016 will be updated weekly on the website. Currently the list includes George Mason, Virginia Commonwealth and Winthrop
This is an open registration event that will feature some of the best High School girls lacrosse players in the mid-Atlantic. Coaches are welcome to refer players here who they feel would benefit from this elite experience For players who are interested in attending the Frozen 150 Showcase, please click here and fill out the registration form. Spring Tournaments

First Annual Irish Invitational girls’ middle school tournament, March 19, 2016, at Academy of Notre Dame, 560 Sproul Road, Villanova PA 19085. Varsity Middle School Teams only. Come play in a fun, competitive tournament hosted by Notre Dame’s HS Varsity team. Each team is guaranteed two games. Fee includes a first place and runner-up trophy.

Chapter Challenge, a youth lacrosse festival for boys and girls that will feature good competition, camaraderie and sportsmanship on the pristine and spacious grounds of the Brandywine Polo Club in Chester County, April 30-May 1. Registration is now open for three girls’ divisions (U11, U13, U15) and four boys’ divisions (U9, U11, U13, U15). You can take advantage of “Super Early Bird” and “Early Bird” discounts, but register soon. Each division will feature two or more brackets to help each time find the appropriate level of play for a good day of festival lacrosse. The event is open to “Club” and “Travel Teams” and we will have a group teams based on available data to ensure top competition. We will offer a U15 Elite Bracket for Girls in 2016 (full checking, provided teams satisfy coaching certification requirements). THE CAUSE: The Chapter Challenge helps support initiatives of the Philadelphia Lacrosse Association, the chapter of US Lacrosse responsible for promoting the growth and development of the game in Eastern Pennsylvania. The Jersey Shore Point Showcase is a new individual one day showcase Players in attendance will receive top notch coaching and instruction led by NCAA Division I, II and III coaches as well as United Lacrosse Directors. Coupled with the instruction from college coaches, The Jersey Shore Point Showcase enables participants to compete at a high level and showcase their skills in a competitive and encouraging environment. Summer Showcase

The Shore Points Showcase for girls, June 4, at Manahassett Creek Park, Long Branch, N.J.
